in #review5 years ago

Game of thrones has everyone hypnotized. And if you are not part of the great majority that we see the series, do not get mad. Welcome again to a new review. Remember that if you have not seen the chapter, it would be better to stop reading. This post contains SPOILERS...

The final season of GOT has given much to talk about. The memes have been the main figure after each episode. Chapter 4 of season 8 was no exception. Today we will take a look at the events that set standards and that in a certain way prepare us for the long-awaited final.

The last good-bye.

The great war tithed all the armies. Dany lost much of his immaculate and almost all the Dothrakis. But not only did she lose, the North also lost many in this war. The beginning of the episode was marked by the funeral of all the fallen. Jon Snow gave a speech of encouragement to remember the memory of all those who gave their lives.

There is a particular scene in this part of the episode that moved me a lot and it was when Dany says goodbye to Jorah. And then to see when they cremated the bodies, I felt moved. Recently I lost a family member who decided to cremate. That's why I was so moved by that scene, since it's only been a month since my relative passed away.

After the storm comes calm and celebration.

After a victory comes the celebration. In the second act just after the funeral we saw the celebration of the living, but it was little time that joy lasted. Since Dany remembered everything he had talked with Jon in the crypts before the dead attacked. He is the true heir to the throne and she knows it. However, before everything became sad for her, she did a few acts of royalty, or at least I like to tell her. He named Gendry Baratheon Lord and celebrated with his allies until he saw how they admired Jon as a true king and so retired from the party. But life goes on, now the north was safe. But the iron throne is still occupied by someone else.

Love Test.

The expression "between the sword and the wall" was the protagonist of the private encounter between Dany and Jon. They pretended to ignore what happened before but it was not possible, the desire for Dany's iron throne was big and she let Jon know. But the incredible thing is that he told her that he did not want to be sitting there, to which Dany replies that although he does not want to, it would not be enough, she knows that he must be the King. The exchanges of words were intense, both were told the truths but the conversation was sealed with an unusual request. Dany asked Jon not to say anything, to keep the secret among the few who knew it, however those were not Jon's plans and he told him that he has a family which should know the truth. Dany really was not happy about that.

And since we talk about love, we must mention the meetings. Arya was visited by Gendry who without hesitation declared his love for her. He even offered her marriage to become a Lady, to which Arya said NO. On the other hand the romance was finally consummated, Jaime and Brienne made love. It was something that all the fans were waiting for.

It's not a secret is information.

This has to be told without anesthesia. Jon did not do what Dany asked him. Some may think that he had no choice, and that he should tell the truth to his sisters. But I would have liked him to say nothing ... however it was not what happened, Sansa and Arya received the truth from Bran under Jon's permission. The best kept secret by Ned Stark was finally known. The sisters swore to say nothing ... but we already know how these confessions work in GOT.

In a short time the best kept secret of the whole series was known by Tryon, by Sansa and Varys through Tyrion. So the picture is this, the Stark family knows it, Dany knows it. Sam and Bran too. And now the two counselors of the Dragon Queen also have that information in their possession. These last two are the ones that can best use this new power. Tyrion is very intelligent and Varys for his part is not far behind. But what really influences that truth comes to light is that Dany begins to show signs of desperation to conquer the iron throne.

The Last War - Dracarys

Dany does not want to waste any more time. For which she enforces her alliance with the north by demanding that those who survived must go with her to the king's landing to finally overthrow Cersie and finally bring peace to the 7 kingdoms.

We all know that Dany and Jon do not have it easy. Beginning with the warnings that Sansa made them. I make it clear that the warriors are wounded, tired, they need to heal. But for Dany they were meaningless words. Your goal is to sit on the throne. That is how he set out on the journey to obtain what "legitimately" belongs to her.

The troops would depart for King's Landing by sea, while Jon would travel by land. Dany would travel with his dragons. Everything was decided, the last war was about to begin. Ódigoschenchen craneódigos, but the strategy of ejercio cersiepiece and with the help of the unparal explicar fleet of Euron we saw as fast all the ships of the Targaryen flag were destroyed and next to them Rhaegal, one of the dragons of Dany. It was a massacre ...

The worst was about to happen. After destroying Dany's ships and killing a Dragon. It had to be rectified. But Cersie was prepared not to give up any space. After the capture of Missandei, the balance was not in Dany's favor. I was not willing to lose more. But what came after the negotiation between Cersie and Tyrion was the trigger. Missandei was brutally decapitated under the sword of the Mountain and her last words were "Dracarys" ... A clear message for her queen. "Burn them all"

And so I conclude episode 4 of the last season. We just have to wait until the next episode premieres and see how the last war will end. Let me know in the comments that who you think will be sitting on the iron throne by the end of the series. Until the next review.

The whole Jon, Sansa and Arya scene about his true identity made me think back to when Ned Stark told Cersei that he knew all about her and Jamie, and was going to tell Robert Baratheon. While understandably honorable, it's definitely something that should have been approached less directly. Who knows, though, maybe things will go better for Jon than they did for Ned...

I think the strongest part of this episode was the discussion between Tyrion and Varys about power and purpose. Kit Harington said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that this episode had a Shakespearean twist to it, and that scene definitely was.
