This program has been referred to as "University Research Initiative for Blockchain Technology". Through the aforementioned program, this payment settlement platform would donate a whopping $50 million to various prestigious universities around the world in order to shape the future of the blockchain technology and its mass adoption.

All universities listed above are to provide various topics for this research initiative. Asides the fact that the Ripple network would be providing cash, the platform would also provide these universities listed above with expertise for various subject matters as well as the needed technical resources.
