"Faust IV (1973) a piece by Krautrock"

in #rock5 years ago (edited)

Faust IV is my favorite album of Faust, this emblematic German band from Krautrock (progressive German rock), which in the early 70's gave us beautiful and dark avant-garde and progressive rock jewels ... Faust IV corresponds to his fourth album in study ... it is definitely a work that gathers all the sound ingredients of the style; that is, minimalism, monotonous rhythms, psychedelia and avant-garde; adding also the first rudiments of electronic music, through new technologies of recording, amplification and musical mixing. Stand out above all the other tracks, the emblematic Krautrock, a musical journey, an authentic 12-minute collage of an epic and spatial suite composed of dark sounds, noises and changes of rhythms that will elevate you through the skies ... My favorite songs are Jennifer, The Sad Skinhead and the exciting Just a Second / Picnic on a Frozen River, Deuxieme Tableau ....

I highly recommend this album is a true gem of Krautrock and progressive rock ...

regards
Paul
