Week Seven Quest post: The goblind Assault turn 4

before the oger is hitting the ground blockurator is shouts f...this shit. and charge on the goblins at the gate. the goblins jump out the way but this action make them scatter. from all directions arrows and colonists are charge on the goblins and the are all dead. the rambock hits the gate. it breaks open. inside the fort its a few buildings one building had one guard in front of the door but he is running off. in a distance you can hear a war horn it sems this was just a small guard post.
the captain think you have a few minutes to loot the buildings. before reinforcement is coming.

Every colonist have only time to enter one building

  1. its a small building next to the wall sems to be connected to the ballista tower.
  2. big building it sems to be a storage building of some kind. a lot of foot step from it
  3. had one guard outside. the door is solid wood with metal bars it has a big lock but you think one or to wack on it will open it.
  4. a small hut its in a different bulding style from the rest of the camp is a bit creepy. you cant see any foot step from it.

(if you going in the the same building the amount of loot is the same as if u entering alone)

The outpost captain and his soldier are collecting all the goblins weapons and leavening the area. the are planing to give them two you when the colonists are caching up to them. you all get two stone clubs and a few silver.

To the north its up hill whit loos Rocks the South East
its a path a bit up from there you can see allover but its easy to be corned.
the rest is a open space except form a big rock to the north.

remember to inform what damage you are doing in the end of your comments
am rolling the goblins and outpost soldiers manually just to save the rolling bot. and not get 100 comments.

Since it is closest to me, I'll jump into building #1 and see what I find.

after entering the bulding. its noting there but its a ladder up to the ballista. you are climbs up. its a dead goblin up there he dont have antyding of value. but in the corner its a cross bow. you pick it up. it sems to be a bit hard to hit but do lost of damage. you spend som time study the ballista and now you can bulid one at your colony.

In battles, can I carry the cross bow and use it for long range and still carry a melee weapon to use?

Good find and a new skill! Sweet choice.

I will enter building 3, knocking off the lock and seeing what was being guarded!

is try to open the locket door. after a bit of trying they manage to break the door open.

after the dust is clearing the can see a lot of chest and barrows, the are going true them a lot of them are empty but after som time the find one whit 30 silver in it and three gem stones. the gem stone can be made to a necklace or a ring + on your hit. or on a weapon to + on damage. or on a armor to + on it.
to make it u need blacksmitt . the outpost can help you bit its going to cost u 3 food. as payment.

WOW! 30 silver and 3 gemstones... a good loot!
How do we get food? Your rules could be expanded a bit to explain the process for gaining food, silver and other necessities; how food is consumed, etc.

its a 3 way split on the loot btw. if it was not clear . food. by doing Forager whit a worker or you. some questing give you some food to and trade.
silver need a spesial bulding you need to unlock same as food questing and trade. this is how it work whit everything. if you do food,stone and wood witout a bulding its a random number am rolling for. buildings has a fixed number every week just need a worker to do it.

Oh... this is very helpful information! Would be nice to see some sort of table to compare results and know how to decide what is worth building and how to build it.

when you get the Research bench. a lot more info is open to you in the colony info file. like cost and production etc. all coloinsts has a "specialty" food type whit a different bulding. and use of the food type.

OK, so first step then is to get a research bench. Do I buy that from the trading post? Or can my worker build one? Do we need a different bench for each project or will one bench offer all projects?

Check building number 4.

Do we get to find out what that un-explored large building was for and what we failed to collect? I'm soooooo curious about it.

befor you are heading out you take a look inside. its a lot of food and clubs, spars but noting fancy but on a table in the middel of the room its a keg of ale and you think its a chain mail laying on the table. but no time to get it we need to run.

Oh wow! And nobody claimed the keg of ale. Looks like all buildings were good for looting. Thanks for fulfilling my curiosity.

I'll check #4 the creepy building, and hope I don't die.

@methus and @creativetruth is waking up to the creepy bulding the door creaking when methus is opening it. in the room its Dusty and spiderwebs all over the place. its a tabel in the middel of the room. methus is waking over to it. its a book on it. its a scull on the front og it. he tying to pick it upp but its surprisingly heavy. at the same time creativetruth ses two staffs in the corner he picking up one he feels like he cant breathe. he drops the staff but manage to fining a piece clothes and rappung the the staff in it so he can carry it.
together they manage and carry the book of the two staffs. you think the scientists need to find out this one.

Ooooooo.... Magical stuff!!! Might bring in a good reward later on?

Building 2 is likely a storage of food since so many footsteps go to it and everyone needs food daily. Since building 3 is being guarded, I suspect either a prisoner (future workers) or silver (valuables) will be stored here. Since the goblins didn't fight with good weapons, I doubt we can find a store of good weapons (otherwise they would have used better weapons in battle). I have no idea what would be in the creepy building and building 1 is likely just an access to the ballista tower. So.... let's see what is inside the guarded building 3.
