PIRATES, HEAT AND SO MUCH FUN...MARITIME RACE WEEKEND....ARGH!!!!!

Where else can you dress like a Pirate, eat awesome food, join in all the fun and festivities, see some really beautiful scenery, go shopping and run in the sweltering heat along the Seacoast. Not to mention, you get the most awesome bling you have ever seen. Nowhere but in Fisherman's Cove. Not just any Fisherman's Cove..but the one in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. Such a wonderful event and now touted by "Canadian Running Magazine" as Canada's best destination Running Event.

Before you even start running it is a must to visit the famous Boondocks restaurant and partake in some yummy local fare

Some runners even feel the need to eat some homemade coconut cream pie

There is always shopping for treasures for the tourists

You might even find some Pirate Booty

The view just never disappoints no matter where you sit

Fisherman's Cove is a 200 year old fishing village that has been lovingly restored to wonderful little shops. Each one uniquely different , everything from an authentic old candy shop to a bakery, to local artifacts. It is such fun to saunter around and browse through the little shops.

Check out the work of the local Artists.

One thing has not changed and that is the channel that is used for the fishing boats that bring in Seafood which you can purchase fresh from the little shop.

YOU CAN MAKE FRIENDS WITH LOTS OF PIRATES. ... ARGH!!!!!!!!

Be careful, if you run too much and don't eat, you might end up looking like this.

Make sure you take time before the race to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
