She was one of the many stray dogs we see every day. We took her in and hope to offer her a warm home and all the love we can give her. Her mum gave birth to 9 puppies and 5 of them have found a home so far. We are trying to find families for the rest of her brothers and sisters.
If you are looking for a pet, consider for a while giving a home to those poor stray souls that need you.

Puppy heaven!! LOVE the one you two picked :) It really surprised me that the stray dogs and cats are SO healthy looking and tame there. What did you name her?
I was surprised that the mother was very friendly and she didn't even bark when we took her baby. I guess it's just her personality. She gave birth at an abandoned house and a woman living in the area found them and tries to to find homes for the babies. She visits them every day to feed them and bring them clean water.
The situation with stray animals in my country is really disappointing, they are so many unfortunately. Most stray dogs are friendly, cats look more scared (at least the ones that I come across every now and then).
We still haven't decided how to call her. Trumpman put Hera on the table, his first suggestion though was Κλανιά (kla-nia = fart, in Greek), but I think Hera is waaaay better 😂😂

I'm susceptible...but my eyes are moist. We support a bunch of animals. Four in the house (!!)--two cats, two dogs. And outside have trapped and neutered cats we make as comfortable as possible. The stray (cat) population in our neighborhood seems to have stabilized. Maybe because cats are territorial, the new ones keep away.
I love your dog. The mother is wonderful. She's bound to have passed on that sweet temperament.
Oooh, it seems like we have lots of animal lovers here! Well done for helping those poor creatures! As I wrote to steem-samiam, we have a huge problem with stray dogs and cats, it can really break your heart.
Thanks! I wish I could take the mother in or just a second puppy, but unfortunately we can't support more for the time being. I just wish the rest of the family will end up in good hands...
