God Loves a Cheerful Giver
2 Corinthians 9:7; Each on must give as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God Loves a cheerful giver.

Today our verse talks about giving cheerfully as God loves a cheerful giver, this is very simple and a clear instruction to follow, give from the heart and be cheerful about it and God will also cheerful about your sacrifice, yes, there are confounding factors sometimes that may affect a Christian and makes his giving not really fit the instruction which is why we are treating this topic today. When you know the impact of an action you tend to be more objective in your actions. For instance knowing for that a particular food will make you stronger physically you will not have any doubt eating that food and you will eat it even with much enthusiasm that may affect the people around you. Same goes the act of giving in Christ, knowing that you are doing something for God should make you cheerful and not have a doubt about you act which would in turn draw blessings and favor from the Lord. Be like the child who gives without any reluctance or compulsion.
Giving does not necessarily correspond to the administration of money, but all service rendered to the Lord and to the mankind. For the Lord works through man to show his glory, power and authority. Any act that one loves doing is done wholeheartedly with love and cheer. It is my fervent hope that we as parishioners will develop love for the work of God that we may do it wholehearted and cheerfully, that we may receive the Blessings of the Lord.
