Be careful with what comes out of your mouth.
It is said that the character of a person can be discovered through a study of the words that she uses. We can make use of the words that bring blessing to the people who hear us, and we can also turn them into instruments to sow distrust and disgust.
Words have the potential to modify the lives of those who hear them and even to alter the course of history. Unless it is under the sanctifying influence of God's grace, language can be the cause of evil and pain. Well used, words are an instrument that God can use to bring men the message of salvation. But when they are abused, lost souls who seek the Lord can become stumbling blocks.
For all who love God and want to walk properly, the sins of defamation, slander, gossip, gossip and hypocrisy are abominable. We are not allowed to call anyone "foolish". Instead, God calls fools to speak falsehoods.
A fool’s mouth is his ruin,
And his lips are the snare of his soul.
Proverbs 18: 7
The fool is the originator of many problems. He is always arguing, looking for mistakes in others complaining about everything. He delights to defame others and fill his heart with impious and wicked things. Their gossip goes from ear to ear and from mouth to mouth. Jesus said:
In the same sense, the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things.
Matthew 12:24
In the bible, severe judgments are made against the abuse of the language.
Some who would never murder anyone or commit adultery with deeds do so with words. It can destroy the character and dignity of someone.
Words are the embodiment of our ideas, words are the expression of thought.
Ideas are organized by pronouncing by means of words. Language is the vehicle of the mind.
Jesus explained it to the religious of the time in a simple and colloquial way.
It is not what goes into the mouth of a man that defiles and dishonors him, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles and dishonors him.”
Matthew 15:11
The said words are irrevocable. Once said, the words can not be recovered. Did you say something you regretted, but could not do anything to remove it?
Words can produce life or death, health or illness, wealth or poverty. Let's imagine that we have a door and we put nails, then we take them out, the door is full of holes, that's the wrong words, they make a wound that can not be removed later. Good message
Preach this same message yesterday in the congregation where I attend, the Lord wants more holiness in his people and that begins with our mouth, our way of speaking, he wants us to revoke, the murmurings of our daily walk.
