Are you God's friend?
NIV:You are my friends if you do what I command. (John 15:14)
Who are God's friend?
People that obey and do what God command them to do are the friends of God.
If you do not do God's command then you are not fit to be called his friend, for God's does not work with people that do not obey nor do his command.
We can only be God's friend when we do what he commands us to do.
What's are God's command for us to do (obey).
NIV:My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
13 NIV:Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15:12-13)
- Love: It's the Lord's command that we love one another just as he has love us and lay down his life for us. This is a command for every friend of God to obey and do. If you don't do the command then you can't be called God's friend, for every friend of God must love everyone just as Jesus as love him, must follow the steps and command of the Lord.
If you want to be God's friend then you have to do his command which one of it is Love, you must do this command, if you don't do it then you are not a friend of God.
Are you God's friend?
If yes, how are you sure you are his friend, what are the evidence to show that you are his friend?
If no, why?
Why should we be God's friend
15 NIV:I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
If you are God's friend he will tell you everything that he learn from the father to you because you are his friend.
