Someone once made the observation, "Perseverance the snail reached the ark." Going anywhere for a snail is a marathon. Getting to the finish line is a marathon of marathons. Truly, the world will only remember those who refuse to quit! Once you quit, you are dumped into the dustbin of history, never to be recycled! You must persevere and determine to go through any necessary tough time time to achieve your goals and expectations for your life, family, and ministry! The only place free from problems is a graveyard!
Some years, a plane conveying a late former governor of Ondo State, Nigeria to his final resting place, crashed on take-off killing 17 souls and his casket was retrieved from the plane! So, in some cases, even the dead now have no peace! Never forget through this year, that tough time don't last, but tough people do! Does anyone still remember the 10 spies that were sent with Joshua and Caleb to spy the land? - Oh, the shame of quiting! No matter the giant you encounter in your life, career, business, academic, marriage or ministry, refuse to allow fear, depression or worry!
Remember again that if you want the rainbow, you have to endure the rain! Today's opportunities erase yesterday's failures! It is on record that Lord Wellington, after the great victory over Napolean at Waterloo said, "Our men were not braver than the enemy. They were brave five minutes longer". Yes, stay on when every demon in hell is screaming at you to give up, weep, pity yourself or curse God!
The same defeated Napolean Bonaparte later said: The truest wisdom is a resolute determination." It is the stubborn will and resolve never to quit that makes men giants! Remember the 10 spies and confront every giant this year with your God! See what Comrade Hilton said: "Success seems to be connected to persistence and determination." Successful people go through tough times, but they never quit! Stay with that group! Don't ever quit!
