How Much Do you Love Yourself?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. - Matthew 22: 37-10

Reflecting on the above verses of the scriptures this morning brought life and energy to my bones. Jesus actually said those words, thereby, making it of utmost importance to the Christian Faith. He started by telling us that our unreserved love should be channeled towards God first. Loving God first will afford us the privilege to learn the best way to love ourselves and others.

My particular emphasis in today's post is to draw our attention to loving ourselves. Many persons have ignored this simple command and cross over to attempt loving others. Indeed, we cannot love others when we have not yet loved ourselves.

The scripture was very particular with referring to ourselves when we love others. We are admonished to love our neighbours as much we love ourselves. By implication, if we lose out of knowledge to loving ourselves, then an attempt to love others will be erroneously expressed. When we have learnt how to love ourselves, then, we will be able to transfer the love to others.

One of the ways we can show love for ourselves is to stay healthy. With good health, we can be able to undertake any good work to the blessing of humanity. To achieve good health, we must be careful of our diets, exercise regularly and avoid burnouts.

Today, I decided to keep fit to stay healthy. I decided to take out some 20 minutes earlier today for jogging and workouts. I was able o make as much as 5,000 steps and more.
