The Lord's command
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
(Joshua 1:9)
What do we mean by command
to give (someone) an order : to tell (someone) to do something in a forceful and often official way
Since a command is an order given to someone and here is an order given to us by God, he says that we should be strong and courageous, he did not only say it but he command us, it is a command an order from God for us to be strong and courageous.
We should not be afraid (frightened) 😱 either should we be dismayed, Why? Because the Lord our God is with us where ever we go. That's means where ever we find ourselves we should not be afraid (frightened) either be dismayed for Lord our God is with us where ever we go. we should be strong and courageous, Why? Because it is the Lord's command (an order) given to us by God.
If you are not strong and courageous that's means you have disobeyed the Lord's command, which is not a good thing to do. He says that you should not be afraid (frightened )😱 and you should not be dismayed for he is with you wherever you go, knowing this why are you frightened (afraid ) of things that you shouldn't be scare of. Always know and remember that the Lord your God is with you wherever you go, he will never leave your sight for the Bible says in psalms 121 Vs 3 that he never slumber nor sleep. Therefore be not afraid (frightened) not for he (the Lord your God) is with you wherever you go.
I pray that God should help us and give us the grace to obey his command, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remember that the Lord command is for us to be strong and courageous.
