A DISGUISED BOWL OF LOVE

in #sc-v5 years ago (edited)

Sometimes people do things, which are far from the love that one should have for others. I invite you to know the following story: A relative, already elderly, was welcomed by a family to live with them; his hands trembled, he walked with difficulty, and he could not see well. The family used to dine together, and grandfather dropped his food, the spoon was going to hit the floor, and spilled the milk on the tablecloth. The couple, decided not to put up with the situation anymore, and placed a table for one person in a corner of the dining room, where they put the old man to eat, and gave him a wooden bowl for the milk; again the family was happy eating together, from time to time they looked at the grandfather, who still dropped his food, the spoon was going to hit the ground, and spilled the milk from the bowl.

One afternoon, the father of the family observed that his little son was trying to do something with some pieces of wood, "What do you want to do with those pieces of wood?" He asked. "Ah, I'm going to make two bowls, one for you and one for mom, so they can drink milk when I grow up."

The Wooden Bowl
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor the evil, follow the good. Romans 12: 9. Love ... is kind ... 1 Corinthians 13: 4.

There is no middle term to love, Love, can never depend on any circumstance or condition. The story speaks of a feigned love, not sincere, that apparently was kind to place the old man elsewhere in the dining room, and that had its greatest manifestation in the gift given, a wooden bowl. A kind of love that was very far from kindness. The lesson of the little one is a wake-up call that seeks to reach all the sons and daughters of God the Creator. We must follow the example of Jesus, Love in Person. It is sad to know that people who know the Truth, do not love as they should and do not recognize it, trying to disguise a feeling that is not sincere through gifts or attention. If people who leave their parents in places for the elderly seek excuses, remember what you sow that will harvest.
