"And not only her, but also we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan inwardly, eagerly awaiting adoption as sons, the redemption of our body," Romans 8:23.
One of the interesting things in this chapter is that it allows us to realize three "groans" that occur and that express three truths for us today.

Source

First we see that the creation groans (v. 19). The verse says that the reason is that "she waits anxiously" since she was "subjected to vanity" (verse 20) and frustration. This moan of anticipation will be litigated in "the revelation of the children of God" (v.19). At that moment "she will also be freed from the bondage of corruption to the freedom of the glory of the children of God (v.21). There is a reality of corruption that enslaves creation today.

But not only does creation groan before this reality as if it had "birth pangs" (v. 22), we too, although we already have the firstfruits of the Spirit, "we groan within ourselves" (v.23) while we await the redemption of our body. It is a fact and guarantee with which we can count as children and "with patience (perseverance) we await it" (v.25), but those internal groans are the struggle of our flesh, and the sweet defeat of His Spirit as we continue to bring down any another foundation on which we put our faith, trust and hope.

However, there is a third "groan" in this chapter and it is the Spirit himself who intercedes earnestly before the Father in our favor "with untold groans" (v.26). It is a groan so that we receive the necessary help, so that we remain firm and constant, and so that the work of God is completed in our lives through this painful, but effective process "according to the will of God" (v. 27). It is also a great encouragement for us to know that "the Spirit helps us in our weakness" (v. 26).

The apostle Paul then goes to great distances to bring us that assurance of God's work in our lives by reminding us that "for those who love God, all things work together for good" (v.28), that this is a process of transformation (v.29) and that "If God is for us, who will be against us? (v.31).

And if there is still any doubt about God's intentions for us, we are reminded that nothing can "separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (v.39) and that "He who denied neither His own Son, but He delivered Him for all of us, how will He not also give us all things together with Him? "(V. 32).

Think about this and find your rest in Him.

This is the best news we can hear and the hope we have as Christians @karinalr. "for those who love God, all things work together for good."
