John 13:35

Life revolves around giving or giving something, because the living example of it is our God, who created and founded everything; since then the chain of giving began, because He is the one who has given us ALL that exists, everything is everything because that includes his son Jesus, as we know he died for each one of us so that we can be saved.

But the reason for being is love, because whoever does not love is not capable of sacrificing anything for the other person, and this was the maximum proof of love that can exist on this earth.

To love means to die, although it sounds strange, but I do not mean the natural death, because that's what Jesus did, I mean to die to many things on a personal, spiritual, emotional or physical level. ¨But now you also leave all these things: anger, anger, malice, blasphemy, dishonest words from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, having stripped yourselves of the old man with his deeds, and clothed him with the new one, which according to the image of him who created him is renewed until full knowledge. When we decide to love God directly we die to the world and to their desires, to sin, evil, hatred. We die to our own self so that it is Jesus who lives in us. Because he promised us life and in abundance and outside of Christ we can not find it ¨For for me to live is Christ, and dying is gain.¨ Philippians 1:21 (Reina-Valera 1960). If we still delight in things that do not please God, we are not loving Him as He deserves and as it should be.

Now, the same thing happens when we decide to unite our lives to a couple, when giving the yes, it means that you have died to look and covet another person that is not your partner, you die to infidelity, to jealousy, to selfishness , to flirt. You no longer think only of yourself but of the person who will accompany you for the rest of your days.

You can not love fully if we still live with grudges, hatred and resentment, you can not love God if you still love sin, you can not love another person if you still love your ex. If you want to love God and love your new life in Him, die to what you were before, do not delight in past things, ¨ Put to death, then, the earthly in you: fornication, impurity, disordered passions, evil desires and greed , which is idolatry. The case of Peter who was a great servant of the Lord, but before he was fully used by God, went through a cumbersome test, was so bold, so much that he denied Jesus, apparently Peter had not given everything as he had said. At that moment he loved his life more than Jesus, he felt more sheltered in fear than in the true love and trust that Jesus professed.

But why can not I go now, Lord? he asked. I am willing to die for you. To die for me? Jesus answered him. Peter, I tell you the truth, tomorrow morning, before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you know me. "John 13: 37-38 (New Living Translation).

The word says that in love there should be no fear. Will it be that if Jesus asks us the same question we would be able to die for Him? Analyze your life, analyze your attitudes and what you are doing, put in a balance and what weighs more, is what you are loving. ¨ Put on then, as God's chosen ones, saints and loved ones, of tender mercy, of kindness, of humility, of meekness, of patience¨ Colossians 3:12 (Reina-Valera 1960).

Let us love with facts and not with words, let us love because we truly feel it.
