SC-V: in Christ
SOURCE
The phrase "in Christ" is extremely simple, but its meaning is very profound. Because there is no gospel but "in Christ." Nor is there a church, but "in Christ." Without the phrase "in Christ," there would be no Christianity, no redemption, no salvation. Because everything that God does, he does in Christ, not in man. Everything God does in us, he does in Christ.
Ephesians 1: 3 says that God "blessed us with every spiritual blessing
in the heavenly places in Christ ».
The word "all" is very significant. As we read this verse, we may consider that the word of God is redundant and, therefore, tiring. It seems unnecessary to add "in Christ" to "spiritual blessing in heavenly places." Why has the word of God been articulated in this way? If we understood this, we would know without a doubt what Christianity is.
We would know God's redemptive plan and also the way in which God works. Because in God's redemptive plan, he does not deal directly with man. The Bible shows us that the way in which God deals with humanity is not based on individuals, but rather on a corporate or collective basis. Man often gives attention to personal sins, but God includes all humanity in one person.
IN CHRIST
When he suffered the judgment, the death of the cross, was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven, we who are in Christ were also judged, crucified, resurrected and ascended with him. Everything that Christ experienced also becomes our experience. God sees us in Christ, as having all the experiences of Christ. This is, therefore, the redeeming work of God.
Just as we had the life of Adam before, so we now have the life of Christ. When we accept the life of Adam, we become part of Adam. In the same way, by receiving the life of Christ, we become part of Christ. Everything that is in Christ belongs to us. This is the biblical way by which God gives us salvation.
Since God has put you in Christ, even if you say you are the first of sinners, you were already judged and punished when Christ was judged and executed on the cross. In Christ all your sins have been forgiven. God can not bring them back. Because it is about the grace and justice of God. There is a time difference between the grace of God and the justice of God. God in Christ reveals to us the grace of God. What can man do if God has not put him in Christ? That we are in Christ is due to the grace of God. But after putting us in Christ, God has judged
to those who are in Christ. In this way, our salvation involves not only the grace of God, but also the justice of God. Considering that God has already judged us in Christ, can God punish us again for those of us who are in Christ? Never. After he has judged Christ on the cross, he is bound to justify us who are in Christ. God is fair.
He can not but accept what Christ has done. As Christians, everything depends on the fact of our being in Christ. Being in Christ, we enjoy great blessings.
