Regret and fear: "Two thieves of joy".

Blessings for the whole family of the blockchain.

It is interesting what the Apostle Paul discovered in his ministerial career when he said:

"Brethren, I myself do not pretend to have reached it, but one thing that I do: forgetting what is behind and extending to what is before me, I continue towards the goal, towards the prize of the supreme calling of God in Christ Jesus" . Philippians 3: 13-14

If I live lamenting the past and fearing the future, the result of these negative emotions leads me to steal my happiness.

We can not forget that we were called to enjoy the abundant life that God has given us through his son, Jesus Christ.

The lament

Many people get trapped in the past. There is only one thing that can be done with the past, and that is to forget it.

When we make mistakes, as we all do, all we can do is apologize to God and move on. Like Paul, we are in the insistence to follow perfection, but none of us has reached it.

I consider that Paul enjoyed his life and his ministry. And that "unique aspiration" he had was part of the reason. Like us, he insisted on seeking perfection, confessing that he had not yet reached it; but he was aware of how to enjoy his life while making the journey of his entire ministerial career.

What Paul teaches us is a lesson we must learn and not get caught up in the lament of the events of the unwanted past. Let us not rob anyone of the abundant joy we have in Christ Jesus.

The fear

Fear does us the same as regret, except that fear places us in the future and lament places us in the past.

Fear is fear, and leads to disaster. It is the door that Satan has opened to bring us what we fear or panic. I have found that panic in a task is more painful than doing it. Once the work is done, it is done. But while I postpone it, fear will continue.

1 Chronicles 22:13, is one of the many Scriptures that alerts us against fear. It is found in the verse that King David spoke to the Israelites: "Then you will succeed, if you take care that the statutes and the decrees that Jehovah commanded Moses for Israel to be carried out, be strong and courageous, do not fear . Do not faint ".

It seems to me that the Scriptures say that fear not only keeps us from the realization of the Word of God, but, therefore, also hinders our prosperity.

Let God help us to live each day with determination, a day in which we decide not to fear anymore.

Become a person who acts at this moment. Live in the present, not in the past or in the future. God has a plan for your life now. Trust Him today. Do not leave it for another day.

He believes that God leads him to rest in Him and puts an end to the torment caused by living with fear and regret, but he must act to believe in God today. Do not wait until tomorrow.
