CHOOSE LIFE

And many scolded him to be quiet, but he cried out much more: Son of David, have mercy on me. "
(St. Mark 10:48)

The other day I was in my doctor's office and it turns out that now you have to fill out a sheet where each person chooses some options and declares what should be done with it in case you have an accident or are in a situation between life and death.

I heard a lady comment: "despite everything I've gone through and see that I've had to fight, I always say that I want to live". It was then that I thought that the will implies the desire, the decision and the action of wanting or not doing something. Meditating quietly, I thought of the blind Bartimaeus. Because personally, I consider that this man had a lot of desire to live. That he was tired of not seeing and having to beg to eat and subsist. I also think he was tired of asking and having to wait for someone to take pity and have mercy on him.

For that reason, he did not miss the moment and when he heard that Nazarene Jesus was passing by him, neither short nor lazy, he chose the best option ... Scream like a fool for Jesus to hear him! He clung to hope and to the faith that he could have a better future and a better life. And since he knew that the only one who could do a miracle in his life was Jesus, he ignored those who told him to shut up. Moreover, he cried out with all the strength of his heart, as if that depended on his whole life.

His will caused Jesus to listen to him, stop and send him to call. Jesus did not reject or reprimand him. Jesus asked him: "What do you want me to do to you?" And he very decisively answered: "Master, let him recover his sight". (Which implies that Bartimaeus had lost his sight, he was not blind from birth). Such was the faith that Jesus observed in Bartimaeus that he said: "Go, your faith has saved you". And it records the Bible that immediately received the sight. Bartimaeus received two miracles because of his faith, will and determination: THE SALVATION OF HIS SOUL AND RECOVERED THE VISION THAT HE DID SO MUCH.

Choose to always live, decide to fight even when it seems that your dreams fall to the ground. Even when bedridden or sore from illness, you would want to faint. Decide to rise above pain and storms. Nothing like the duck in the water, that outside one sees calm, but below the water, in what nobody sees, he moves his paws like crazy to keep floating.

Will and perseverance can achieve great results. DO NOT BE AFRAID, GOD IS WITH YOU! He is close to you, listening to you, loving you, caring for you and giving you strength so that you can resist any trial that life presents to you, no matter how strong it is.

Remember that God keeps in complete peace those whose thoughts in him persevere because they trust in him.

WHAT YOUR WILL TRANSCENDS THE STRONGEST TEMPEST!

Life is one of the most beautiful things that God has given us, therefore we must always choose to live according to his will, in addition to rise from any adversity by persevering in his word.
