Reading: Philippians 3: 12-14

Today I wanted to share a small reflection which I hope will enter the depths of our hearts and bear fruit in our lives.
What good is it for an athlete to be very fast if, in the absence of 10 meters from the goal, the speed decreases, confident of his victory, and when he reacts has been overtaken by the other athletes? What good was it for the athlete to have run 90 meters at a high speed if in the absence of 10 he loses the race? I think we agree in thinking that it was not worth anything.
Many Christians boast saying "I am very good", "I am very holy", "I am a church leader", "I am an example to follow", "I am a Sunday school teacher", "I am a saint" I am a pastor "," I am a ministry coordinator "," I am a deacon "," I am recognized in my church and many want to be like me "and remain praising themselves for their" greatness ".

Is it enough for an athlete to be fast? Certainly not; Likewise, it is not enough for a Christian to have a great knowledge of the Bible, not to be a leader in the church, to give a Sunday class to children or to have fifty thousand life groups. If this Christian does not strive, pray, fast, give the best of himself to God all his personal achievements will not have been worth anything in the end.

Now, it is not good for a Christian to have given the best of himself for God to a part, he must give his best until the end; otherwise you may lose the award. Many athletes run but only one takes the prize; Many people decide to run the race of Christian life, but only those who have tried from beginning to end will achieve the award of the true champions.

In my church, we have a project with the children's ministry, a project that God gave us so that the children can really know him; We have not finished yet and if we give up now nothing will have served the effort we have placed in the work of God. I am sure that you also have projects in your church, projects that come from God and that are for Him. How are those projects going? Have you given up? Are you happy with what you have done so far? DO NOT! Please do not make that huge mistake, we have not finished yet and we can not rest until we have done what we were called to do.

This is a wake-up call for the whole church. AWAKE! We have not finished yet, we have not finished the work and we can not lower our arms yet. There will come a time when we can rest but that day has not yet arrived and until we arrive WE WILL RUN.

Let's strive, let's be brave; If the fire of the Holy Spirit is fading in you, NOTICE IT NOW! If the demotivation has arrived to touch the door of your heart, AWAKE AND ANIMATE! If fear and doubt want to stop you, TURN THEM OUT OF YOU AND CONTINUE FORWARD! We were not called to look back, we were called to finish what we started; We were not called to be remembered as losers, we were called to be more than winners.

How do you want them to remember you? Do you want to be remembered as the one who almost won the race? Do you want to be remembered as the great leader who achieved nothing? Or do you want to be remembered as the brave who won the race? It's your decision What brand are you going to leave in the world ...? Jesus left a mark on the world and we, his followers, are called to keep his mark alive. THINK ABOUT IT!

Very true @opibarker, Many athletes run but only one takes the prize; for that reason we must maintain the constancy until the end to be able to see the victory of our race and obtain the prize.
