Reflection word: Biblical understanding of anger.

The word of God speaks to us in the book of James 1: 19-20 and gives us advice on how to control anger.

The verse tells us: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, every man is soon to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the wrath of man does not work the justice of God."

In that sense we Christians must have a correct understanding through the Bible about "anger."
The Spanish dictionary defines anger in the following way:
Ira is a term of Latin origin that refers to rage and violence. It is a conjunction of negative feelings that generates anger and indignation.

This attitude in people has very negative effects on their mental and physical health and psychologists help advise those who suffer in order to maintain their health.

Psychology recommends externalizing anger in some way, to prevent it from becoming sick. Well, it is proven that "anger" is closely linked to frustration, given that it arises as a combustion in the face of the impossibility of being able to solve things on their own or according to their criteria.

And we find the best advice of all in the word of God specifically in this verse that we have mentioned. James tells us that the anger that is born of selfishness does not contribute to the justice of God, it only leads to malice and destruction.

Santiago advises us that every man be ready to hear why - because there are many people who do not like to hear when someone speaks or gives advice, but immediately they are quick to speak and often give unnecessary answers not adjusted because they do not hear, no They have wisdom to hear.

He also advises us to avoid being angry because anger does not come from God and does not work for justice.

We Christians need to change our behavior and personality. One of those changes has to do with temperament. A Christian must react in a Christian way to face situations so that we cannot lose control.
It is important that we reflect on what the apostle Paul also advised about anger. He tells us in the book of Ephesians 4:26: "Be angry, but don't sin; don't let the sun set on your anger."

Brothers remember that anger is a very negative feeling that takes us out of our minds and leads us to make many mistakes
When anger is out of control, it deals great damage and this can be very burdensome today.
In the beginning God also warned us of the bad consequence that this could bring to our lives. For example, God warned Cain of the consequences of his anger. God's message to Cain was this: “Beware! Your anger is like a lion waiting at your door. You must control your anger or she will control you. ” But Cain ignored or responded to the warning of God on the contrary his anger was getting worse every day towards his brother and His jealousy towards his brother Abel became hate until he became a murderer of his own brother.

I think that one of the best way to deal with angry feelings is to talk to God about them. God hears us because He wants us to be physically and mentally healthy.

Today is a good day to tell our lord to help us control anger and resentment or any situation that affects our peace and emotional stability....

Where does anger come from? The question seeks to identify the source of anger. Circumstances are a part of the answer. We usually look for answers outside of us or in other people. But God tells us that the problem arises from our heart and the solution is in the cross of Christ. Bad desires and carnal pleasures come from the heart. If the desire that comes from our heart is to glorify God, then I will obey Him and do things that glorify Him. These reflections come from my dissatisfied carnal desires, because the cause of anger and anger is not being able to do what I want to do and satisfy the desires of my heart.
