Crypto assets is valuable. Crypto success is inevitable. People are desperate to earn some cryptos in a good way. But some people choose the wrong path unfortunately. They will try to steal your hard earn cryptos in a deceptive way. Most common scamming technique is by using twitter. Scammers open an identical account of a new ICO. Just a subtle change in the name but profile photo or overall twitter design is identical to the original one.

Previously, I wrote about Wanchain. Wanchain fake twitter account had more followers than the original one. Fortunately, Wanchain team has done everything to report this handle. I saw each and every new ICO has fake accounts. They will ask some ether and in terun they will send you huge amount. i.e, Send us 0.1 ether, we will send you 10 Ether.

We know that through media, Some people fall into this cheap techniques to scammers. Scammers also use known or famous cryptocurrency public figure and imitate them. One of the known case is with Vitalik Buterin. Vitalik tweet regarding this scam is now a buzzword. I dont give away ETH

I don't give away Eth - Vitalik Buterin

How to protect Yourself

  1. Never send any crypto to any address hoping to get more crypto in return
  2. Research the project and the offer.
  3. Look at the main websites of the project to check whether is there any Airdrop or free give away
  4. If someone asking Cryptos in twitter, Consider him as scammer
  5. Don't let fear, FUD, or FOMO win over common sense

Ok i will check. Thank you

Thank you for this information. You know scammer are clever. They normally find a unique way to scam people

in steemit have also seen these cases, we have to be very attentive to who we give our data, thanks for your good advice you have to follow them

yes I saw look alike accounts before. Now it is reduced

The ammount of time and work these people put in a scam..if it was properly utilized they would have done something respectable...they make a habit out of scamming..

You know sometimes they are making huge. Due to anonimity, nobody knows who is responsible.

i know right!! thats why anonimity isnt always the better option.... then you cant apprehend the individuals accountable..
