Scariest horror story i have heard //told to me by my grandfather//

It was a cold October night. Crows screeching on the branches looking at you with their yellow menacing eyes.
You are lost and a thick fog obscures your vision, moon shine being your only guide to a lonesome house on the hill. Your step is slow and waving, your shoulders heavy while you walk for what seems to be an eternity.

Kraawwww, "What seek you stranger"?... said the crow in a screechy and piercing voice

You shake with fear not expecting a response from the beast. Uncertain if you are safe amidst such a creature. Its voice hits you like a freezing breeze in the dark shadows. But you pretend not to hear it.

Now you are walking to the door with faster pace, looking across your shoulder not sure of the dangers that lurk around you. The moon shine consuming you whole. Making you feel like the light is coming from within. Making you a beacon in this blurriness and darkness of the world.

You take another step. And another.. Now you are running. Ever so faster...One step closer to your destination. Those devilish eyes in the trees following you. Your skin crawling with the sound of their voices now screaming in unison!

"Kraaaaw.... What seeeeek you straaaangeeer?!!"

...The more steps you take the stronger the yearning is inside you to arrive. You feel the need to release. To finally be free.

One more step, just one more! Occupies your mind while you rush forward.

You are speeding up the steps and finally you arrive. Completely manic and lost, you knock on the door...

BANG! BANG!

You see lights in the window and a feeling of relief comes across you. Such a feeling of relief that you havent felt in a long time. As if the problems of the world suddenly evaporated. That awful feeling that haunted you this whole night is slowly disappearing and you are starting to feel the release.

The footsteps in the house are coming closer and the door slowly opens..... A woman appears in front of you wearing a pink robe and slippers with a sleepy but surprised look on her face that slowly turns into shock and horror.

You quickly try to speak up, reacting to her shock, not knowing what has happened. But nothing except indiscernible words leave your mouth. A sense of confusion comes over you until you are lost into nothingness.

"BAM!" A loud noise and a burning sensation overwhelms your senses.

You slowly return to reality. A voice cutting through the silence, increasingly becoming louder and louder and LOUDER, until you hear it clearly.
