Lecture on Cholesterol - [By Dave Feldman]

Engineer by training, lipid and cholesterol expert by choice, Dave Feldman presented in front of the audience at Low Carb Down Under, which I believe is in New Zeeland.

As per the official presentation:

"As an engineer, Dave spotted a pattern in the lipid system that’s very similar to distributed objects in networks. Through research and N=1 experimentation he has revealed some very powerful data which he continues to share in this presentation and in further detail on his website." [source]

I guess I've been watching all of his lectures presented at different conferences and I will say they are very insightful and extremely entertaining. They resonate with me probably because of the biohacker approach and the self-experiments Dave conducts. Highly recommend watching it!

Dave Feldman is a really funny guy and he is also so proud of his accomplishment through self experimenting.

The illustrations of the neighborhood and delivery companies had the message so quick to grab. It basically focused on food distribution.

I have received more knowledge on cholesterol, the initial knowledge for me was so avoid taking too much oil. Now I know much better and for what reasons actually.

Let me start by giving brief explanation on what cholesterol is;

(biochemistry) A sterol lipid synthesized by the liver and transported in the bloodstream to the membranes of all animal cells; it plays a central role in many biochemical processes and, as a lipoprotein that coats the walls of blood vessels, is associated with cardiovascular disease.

This research work is valuable and informative, I really find it useful for it contains information about health and science. Thanks for sharing such an amazing and educative experience on here, I'm streaming the video and it is awesome.. Keep the good work flowing man

Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is the “bad,” unhealthy kind of cholesterol. LDL cholesterol can build up in your arteries and form fatty, waxy deposits called plaques.

High-density lipoprotein (HDL) is the “good,” healthy kind of cholesterol. It transports excess cholesterol out of your arteries to your liver, which removes it from your body.

Cholesterol is needed by the following in the body
•Endocrine system

Your body’s hormone-producing glands use cholesterol to make hormones such as estrogen, testosterone, and cortisol. Hormones can also have an effect on your body’s cholesterol levels

•Nervous system

Cholesterol is an essential component of the human brain. In fact, the brain contains about 20 percent of the body’s entire supply of cholesterol. This fat is essential for the development and protection of nerve cells, which enable the brain to communicate with the rest of the body. Too much of it is dangerous

•Digestive system

In the digestive system, cholesterol is essential for the production of bile — a substance that helps your body break down foods and absorb nutrients in your intestines. But if you have too much cholesterol in your bile, the excess forms into crystals, and then hard stones in your gallbladder. Gallstones can be very painful.

•Cardiovascular and circulatory systems

When you have too much LDL cholesterol in your body it can build up in your arteries, clogging them and making them less flexible. Hardening of the arteries is called atherosclerosis. Blood doesn’t flow as well through stiff arteries, so your heart has to work harder to push blood through them. As plaque builds up in your arteries, over time you can develop heart disease.

Conclusion
Cholesterol in the overall view isn’t bad in fact it is required essentially by some parts of the body . But too much of LDL isn’t good in the body

Dave Feldman, a cholesterol traveller, ketovangelist, as he refers to himself uses very interesting analogies and strategies to breakdown the explanations involving lipids and cholesterol, Dave can now predict higher or lower lipid results based on short-term dietary modification. Having now repeated this experiment in several other subjects he has confirmed the main role of lipoprotein – to manage fat energy flux. Infact i have never seen an explanation made this simple through such analysis. Thank you so much for this educative and informative video you have shared
