A telemedicina já é uma realidade no Brasil
Eu estava navegando pelas notícias da internet quando uma delas me chamou a atenção:
Ela fala que nada mais nada menos que o maior Plano de Saúde do país vai passar a oferecer a partir de hoje o atendimento via teleconferência, que estará disponível 24 horas por dia, 7 dias por semana.
O assunto é bem polêmico e atrai diversas opiniões sobre ele, tanto contra quanto a favor. Mas existem alguns consensos sobre esse assunto, como por exemplo, que o teleatendimento não substitui o atendimento presencial quando esse estiver disponível, devendo ser utilizado apenas quando não houver alternativa. Nesses casos é realmente difícil ser contra, pois é melhor um teleatendimento do que atendimento nenhum.
Eu particularmente penso que essa será uma tendência inexorável e inevitável. E isso abre inclusive a possibilidade de que especialistas em diversas áreas, muitas vezes morando no exterior, possam atender um paciente que precise de sua ajuda não importando em qual parte do mundo ele resida. Claro que nesses casos será necessário o acompanhamento de um tradutor, ou quem sabe no futuro, de um software tradutor em tempo real.
Tudo isso ainda é muito novo e revolucionário, mas sou otimista e vejo com muito mais bons olhos do que com reservas, embora tudo tenha que ser feito com muita cautela e acompanhamento constante dos resultados obtidos. E que venha o futuro!
