Experts May Have Solved The Mystery Of the Vaping Disease
In recent weeks, American hospitals found themselves taking in dozens of patients that had problems with their breath. This was attributed to using electronic cigarettes. But the real story started when two people with the mysterious disease died.

On the 5th of September, The Washington News brought information that seems to indicate that vitamin E is behind all the problems.
What I need to say at the start, the patients weren't using an electronic cigarette to get their dose of nicotine but to inhale THC. And expert from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found a particular chemical in the lungs of all the people with the disease – vitamin E oil.
The spokesperson for the American Health Ministry said that the same exact chemical was found in almost all the cannabis-based products used by 34 patients who were admitted. While this is the first common denominator found in all the sample, health experts are trying to calm the public down because it is too soon to say for sure that this is the reason behind the disease.
Vitamin E can be naturally found in certain foods like rapeseed oil, olive oil, and almonds. The oil known as Vitamin E Acetate is commonly found as a dietary supplement and is commonly used cosmetic products. And we don't know of any health problems when you consume it or apply it to the skin. But the question is, is it safe to inhale? The substance is very similar to oils and those can cause respiratory problems very similar to those that the patients had such as coughing, shortness of breath, and chest pains.
The Vitamin E Acetate was found in very high concentrations in almost all tested samples that had cannabis in them. And a high number of hospitalized patients said that they used the electronic cigarette to vape THC. The FDA also said that nothing unusual was found more common nicotine-based products. The investigation was particularly difficult for doctors and scientists because they weren't sure what they were looking for – for example, they searched for a possible virus of bacterial contamination but none was found.

Well, classical cigarettes burn tobacco. Electronic ones use liquids made from propylene-glycol, flavoring, and nicotine that is warmed up by a metal coil to create vapor. This means there aren't any of the byproducts created during the burning process as the temperatures are MUCH lower - around 100°C - 200°C.
