Butterfly breeding process is quite unique. The process of marriage takes place in the dry and wet seasons with different and very unique processes. Before couples butterflies do marriage, they also do a date or tease the prospective couple to be willing to marry.

In the rainy season, the male butterflies search and attract the attention of female butterflies. The male butterfly also emits pheromones on the antenna to lure the female butterfly to get in touch with it. Male butterflies dance by flapping their wings as a sign of spreading charm on the female butterfly. Conversely, in the dry season, female butterflies are searching and spreading charm to attract the attention of male butterflies.

After this process is passed and fascinated each other then they do marriage (intercourse)

Stages and processes of metamorphosis

Metamorphosis butterfly is metamorphosis perfect, where the changes occur in 4 phase, namely: phase eggs, phase larvae, phase cocoon, and phase butterfly adult.

• The egg phase

In this phase the female butterfly will search and select the leaves of the plant as a place to put the egg, usually placed on the tip of the leaf or on the bottom. The egg size is small and generally white. Eggs hatch takes about 3-5 days. Small caterpillars come out with holes in eggs.

• The larval phase

Larvae is another name of the caterpillar which later becomes a cocoon, then becomes a butterfly.

• Phase of the Cocoon

In this phase occurs the final forming process into butterflies and this stage occurs approximately 7-20 days.

The cocoon has become a small butterfly.

• Imago phase or butterfly

The butterfly then grows up and mates so that it gives birth to eggs, then becomes a larva, subsequently transformed into a cocoon and a butterfly. That's the process and stage of the butterfly metamorphosis. Interesting right?
