Glad to see you are still continuing this series! I remember the Russian robot from your sharing on discord :)

I honestly think that the JWST news would deserve a post by itself, with many more details. Of course, not necessarily for me, but for our other (few) readers. Feel free to consider it!

By the way, if I can add a small suggestion: you are using too many abbreviations for the layman. For instance, I am not sure he/she could guess with HST is (even if it is obvious for physicists, it may not be that obvious for non-physicists :p ).

Yeah, I've been spamming that robot and ISS - Soyuz docking everywhere, and as @gtg said, the music just doesn't suit it, but it's still beautiful (sorry for the tag) :D

Had in mind doing something like a series of space observatories and their way of collecting data and published results (like swift, chandra, herschel, spitzer, kepler etc.). Regarding abbreviations I did use few time full name of hubble space telescope, and then got lazy - but yeah, I know what you mean, will try to be more layman level next time. :D

To me this content resembles the synopsis of a movie: Robots operating in zero gravity, infrared detectors :P

Quite fascinating indeed! It feels wonderful having you guys writing about all this to us here on the community. I would be unaware about all that goes on out there in the universe if it wasn't for you (all of you). My favorite part of this post was learning about the planetary nebulaes, and through that understand what the fate of our sun is! :)

Wonderful read.
Thank you @svemirac!

You make it sound more like poetry than science fiction, or even science, as most of us imagine it.

Our Sun will explode just like this, and after some time (LOOOOONG) these layers of PN will dissipate in the environment living a White Dwarf alone in the "dark".

The James Webb Telescope sounds amazing--imagine the pictures that will come back...not to speak of our understanding.

I'm glad they brought the robot back safely. Expensive toy. Laika's misfortune was that she didn't cost enough. (I still can't let that go 😓)

A wonderful, very readable article.

Amazing stuff. Wish society was at a point where more effects could be put into stuff like this. The Hubble telescope shocked the world with its images and its endurance. So much in technology advancements since then. I look forward to seeing what JWST brings.

That s really good and super informative post ! .. it is amazing how much effort we are able, and luckily also are willing, to put in those instruments and projects.

But for me the most amazing part always was that people can state so many informations like distance, mass and composition of interstellar objects just by analysing a view taken spectra ^^

Oh yes, effort and a bit of money still not comprehensible to normal people :) Spectrography is awesome!
Have some Fraunhofer lines ;) :)

That's some interesting stuff. Watching the live stream of the assembly of the telescope would have been cool. It would be neat to check in where they are at.

That robot is really cool as well. That's neat that they are doing robot led space flights. Interesting. The technology that is in existence is pretty incredible.

Yeah just from time to time dropping an eye on it to check if no one is slacking :P :D
