I was working for this on Venezuela many years ago. I found very time consuming but very interesting stuff with this religion.
People can end insane with sense of rationality. I suggest be carefull reading all about scientology.

Read about Narconon Fresh Start, a Scientology front group. Evil is the right word.
Seen a documentary on Scientology a few years back. The family of members of the Church were speaking about how their loved ones had changed after joining, and would often be secretive and disappear for long periods without explanation. Some members of the Church of Scientology eventually left their family for good, without notice, and couldn't be contacted... It was truly very sad.
Withdrawing from your family and being secretive is a big red flag for me.
Never really looked into Scientology, I've only heard bad things about it.
That seems not very good if "evil" is found with your name in a code...
