Ethics of eating seafood / sushi.-1

Sushi has always been a difficult one for me. On the on hand, my taste buds are telling me that the taste of the ocean is just too succulent and tasty but then I also have my reservations about how the animals are treated and prepared. And this just goes back to the age old question of whether eating other sentient living organisms is ethical or not.

If we didn't eat things like meat, there is a fair amount of scientific evidence to suggest that there wouldn't have been sufficient brain development in the neanderthals to even give us the higher complexities of thought to allow us to feel empathy for animals in the first place.
