Teachers’ Secrets: 7 Funny Things that Your Teachers are Secretly Doing

in #secrets6 years ago (edited)

Teachers are second parents and students look up to them as great role models. Though teachers may have flaws (as affirmation that we are all humans), we cannot deny the fact that trust and respect were always given unto them. We see them almost perfect: a person who can never go wrong.

I am a teacher and I know how’s the struggle in upholding our oath all the time. We are serious in facilitating our classes and we walk in the corridors professionally but have you ever wonder how we, teachers act outside your classroom?

I made this blog not to mock the teachers. This is a product of my emotions and also a way of giving them tribute through recalling our funny sides.

I hope you will also have fun while reading this blog. By the way, all of the information here is based on my personal experiences. If you have your positive critique or positive compliments, please feel free to share it on the comment box below.

7 Funny Things that Teachers are Secretly Doing

1.) We hold our laughter

When a student crack jokes at the middle of the discussion or we found funny objects and faces, we really wanted to laugh... so hard! We are just holding that laughter not to disrupt the momentum of the class.

Can you imagine as to how long we will be holding that laughter within ourselves? We then recall those funny jokes and situations together with other teachers in our faculty room and you know what, those were really giving us fruity laughs.

2.) We love holidays!

Teachers do have an enormous job to finish aside from standing in front of our class and talk. We plan the class, we deliver the instruction, we check student outputs, we assess test papers, we evaluate test results, plan again, and record those scores.

If you are complaining with your assignments think again, we do have great obligations which are greater than those assignments. In fact, we spend our weekends and extend our home just to finish those obligations, (I thought we’ve graduated already) 😅.

When we receive notification about official holidays, we count all of those and we look forward unto it. I think, we also deserve to have a break. Can you now sympathize? Haha 😅

3.) We’re also a big fan of your idols

There are many trends in the showbiz industry. Recently, we have seen the rise of Korean dramas and it seems that youths were hooked with those stuffs.

Would you believe that we also get thrilled with those Korean dramas?

We are also humans and we can also patronize the things that catch our interest. Though our interests differ because we came from different generations but we can’t take out our ability of appreciating those famous personalities and trends of our generations.

4.) We are talkative

We want to maintain silence in our classrooms as much as possible. When we say silence that doesn’t mean we don’t want you to talk. We just want to have a scholarly talk during lectures that’s why we want you to keep unrelated talks with your self.

I don’t label my students “talkative” because we teachers are also one of you but we just do talks with our colleagues in appropriate places and time. When we start talking and chatting, you can’t stop us especially when the ball is rolling and when we start cracking jokes. 😅

5.) We always love eating together

It’s one of the Filipino culture that we always want to eat. One of the many evidences is the presence of a many streetfoods in the sidewalks of our streets. Though its part of our culture I am still pretty sure that it doesn’t limit to our country, I guess teachers around the globe were also fond of eating together.

If you can’t see us talking about many stuffs in our career and life, you’ll see us eating. We are actually binded by this activity.

A good food with good comrades are really worth the time.

There are also scenarios that we are out of budget because of those eating moments but still we don’t regret all of those even our pockets are crying.

6.) When we get angry in the class, we actually want to cry!

Maybe you have seen angry teachers but have you seen your teachers crying most of the time?
Maybe some of you have seen them but not that much.

When we get angry in the class we always express it to our colleagues inside the faculty room but we keep the details between us. We don’t want it to be kept in our system (self) because it will never be healthy for us. Sometimes we even cry because we were really hurt but after those cries we can laugh again. Well, that makes this scenario funny.

Honestly, we don’t want to get angry in our class, that’s for sure but if there is a need to do it then, please don’t get us wrong.

7.) We’re best in drawing!

The term “drawing” has been used here in the Philippines for some time already. This connotes an unrealized plans especially for our travel and errand goals.

We are really superb in planning and preparing for travel goals but later on we we can never put all of those into fruition because of family priorities, workloads and financial incapabilities 😅.

What’s funnier is that those planned places were not that far and what’s even more funnier when we never get tired of planning again even we failed to achieve the previous planned travel. 🤣

Dear Readers,

Those were just some of the many funny things that we teachers have been doing outside our classrooms.

Again, those information stated above are based on our personal experiences and it has nothing to do with mocking the teachers out there.

What’s best thing about us, teachers is when we’re doing our best to uphold the oath of being professionals everywhere we go.

On top of those funny things is the way how we get crazy in love with our students and even I, personally missed them so much already.

To all my students out there just keep doing your passion and the things that make you happy as long as it’s right. Soar high but keep your feet grounded. I will be forever proud of you all!

Lovelots,

@morken
