Why I work out almost daily

Before discovering Actifit I was already in the habit of working out daily. The reward for working out daily is psychological and physiological. The physiological is the good adaptations which take place after the body recovers. The psychological is the addictiveness of the dopamine release from working out.

It is not about competition with others for me. I do not work out for some external competitive reason. I don't lift in any competition or play competitive sports. The competition for me is an internal competition where my current self is in a competition with my previous selves. Progression is the numerical pattern representing a trend toward the desired goal. Fitness is simply to reach some desired goal which could be nothing more than a personal record, numbers on a chart, blood test results, or as subjective as feeling good and energetic for the day.

Self vs self competition is the true motivator of progress for me. Actifit is rewarding that so I may or may not continue using it.
