I often rant and rave about this problem but don't think for a second that I don't intend to develop a solution. It's disturbing when I think of how the vote sellers hijacked so much of inflation to go towards the most inane shitposters and abusers.
In my opinion, the damage they have done to this platform is likely irreparable but it's worth a try I suppose. Think eventually we will be looking at a fork. Let the self-promoting narcissists continue on one chain and the cool kids move to the proof-of brain / organic voting chain. The biggest hurdle is how to prevent history from repeating itself.
HF 21 may change some of it but think the wounds may be too deep. Many people don't want to play ball in a corrupt economy. You can shill all you want. Doesn't make a lick of difference if the person is shrewd enough to acknowledge the distribution problems and how they have been exacerbated by the bots.
In other news, I know MIRA has been released which is reassurring as it lowers the barrier of entry for witnesses somewhat. As for HF21, guess I'll take the advice of my colleagues to wait and see. I'll never feed you any kind of false optimism. I mean we at at SFR got some cool shit brewing but our collective SP is a drop in the ocean.
Maybe, things will change and stakeholders will finally wake up. I'm not holding my breath but it could happen I guess. If we really want mass adoption, we gotta get our shit together people!

It will take time for you to get back into the swing of things, people gotta know you're out there! I wonder how many posts on the “trending” page would be there with out the use of bid... I mean Promotion bots. What is frustrating to me is the bot owners don’t even care if the post is a copy/paste, plagiarism, or a 0 effort post (A photo and a sentence) as long as the bot owners get theirs who cares. Not all of them are like that but from what I have seen, most of them are. Hopefully one day they will be forked out and we don’t have to deal with them... but only time will tell.

It's incredibly rare to have a bot owner unvote even if the abuse is positively identified by multiple parties.
If I can rouse up enough negative public sentiment, then maybe they will act but it shouldn't be that way.
Should not have to wait until the masses have their pitchforks ready for them to do what is right.
It really ticks me off. 😠
