This little dog was living in a backyard for the first year or so of her life. She was one of 5 dogs her owner bought on a whim and they all had to stay outside.

She is a Pomeranian - a dog bred to be a companion dog. She is dainty and likes to sleep a lot. If a gopher comes out of the hole for a breather - she will run the other way scared to death.

Everything scares her. It probably didn’t help that she got “punished” by her former owner. Abused might be a better word. When they first moved in, there were 2 Pomeranians in the bunch. One died. My animal loving neighbor living another house over swears that he killed him.

Anyway, two of the dogs ended up with us when he moved away. Miss BB is not quite as scared of the kitchen anymore (the place he used to punish the dogs), but she sure is a goofball.

Her hair grows long and she has quite an undercoat. Once it gets warm, it is time for her to get a trim. I often shave her myself, but I am not very good at it and she looks pretty funny when I am through with her.

This time, my daughter in law took her along to her groomer and she came back all evenly trimmed, looking pretty, and smelling good.

She is a wiggly one so it is hard to get good pictures of her - but I did my best. Enjoy the before and after - or the other way around.
