Mardax joins the fight! - My character submission for Steem Heroes

Matthew has a hard childhood in small town in Poland – Central European country , directly school life. As kid he was pure hearted and not to much strong, so he attract a lot of bullies to him. After that his school life begin changing to hell for many years.
He was lack of confident, he wanted help and he wanted to accepted by others classmates but instead of this, he was bullied more. That’s how within time Matt starts to becoming more outsider and more antisocial. Of course that doesn’t help neither but still boy prefers to stay in shadows, than attracting more problems.

His parents tried to help him and they tried to move him in next grade to another school without people who bullied him, but that doesn’t helped, because bullies from previous school they where in new school too.

But since beginning Matthew found his small world in games, technology and in Hero cartoons, where he found peace and and a lot good times, specially in Japanese hero cartoon about pure hearted fighters who battles with enemies to protect earth and innocents, they sacrificed themselves, and puts 100% of themselves into fight even if they had broken arms and legs, when they where nearly died, but still they stud up against enemies to protect others, family and friends . Even if this was only a cartoon he sympathized with them and he always wanted to be like them. Strong, fast, smart, clever. He told to himself as young kid, that if he had even one percent of their power nobody will be attacking him. With small portion of this power he will be a true hero, not for fortune and fame, but to making good things.

That has a lot of impact on his mental state, and future ideology. As he gets older he start seeing that world isn’t black and white, there is much of grayness in this life, so also he starts to seeing his own pros and cons. He never wanted to be pushed and bullied, so he started trying to interact with some people, to find acceptation and respect. Also he joined martial arts club to learn how to protect himself and how to build his character. Always since he was kid he dreamed of being super hero and fight in epic battles without hesitate, and pumped a lot of adrenaline like in this cartoons, and that childish inner dream stays with him forever, but sometimes that helps him having good mood, and dealing with bad things in life.

Even after, he know that staying in this small town, where everybody knows each other, can’t help him because he's reputation from past blocking him in many ways. That’s how he had chosen to move in USA.
but he needed green card, that’s allows him to move.
Later thanks to helpful parents and thanks to becoming certificated IT technician with good skill of English speech and portion of experience in IT work, he achieved chance to move in to USA country. That’s how 24 years old Matt become citizen of New York. He found that there is no any “American dream” and climbing in career ladder to become something is thought as hell, but still in this place nobody knows his past, he naturally get bigger and stronger so even he becomes more confident.
He had to work at start for typical muscle work, also he joined Mix Martial Arts club to continue his training.

Then after two years he gets job in one of bigger IT corporations. It’s office work but still in his portfolio can shows that he worked in IT, here in NY. That’s how hi ends meeting Adrian.
This guy was strange and somehow special . Nobody knows that inside he was kind of psychopath on one subject, Olympium. Adrian was a one of special group of people, who without having or being engineers , wanted to collect big pool of Olympium to make at least one of them ultimate being to rule World, by all of them or at least one of them.
Of course that’s what they thoughts. Plan was simple. Two groups of people, one search and tries to extract Olympium from devices like mobile phones ect. To make syringes with miracle energy to put it in veins directly, and second trying to make a special small room flied with this energy. If first option will going wrong, there is second – bath in massive amount of Olympium to get enormous impact to entire body at once. As you maybe know, Olympium especially in small portion, has a side effect of mutating humans DNA by contact nearby Olympium, so they thought getting a big amount of Olympium at once can make somebody marvelously powerful.

In some ways they are idiots, but still that was their psychopathic mission to gather as much as can.
Matthew spokes with Adrian sometimes in work and one times they went to bar, where after drinks both spell a little bit about their past. Adrian after night starts to thinking of inviting Matt to this surreal plan. He invited Matt to his house after work, in purpose of drinking beer and playing video games. Matthew agreed.
later that they comes to Adrian place, and drinks few portion of beer. Remember – Matthew is from Poland so weak typical American beer don’t do to much for him. But Adrian gets drunk.
After few fight in video game, Adrian asked Matt of coming to the basement, to showing him something. And they did. House owner shows special machines, that he and his group build, also strange chamber glowing by blue glass panels placed at dor and both sides. This chamber was prepared by Adrian to be feeled witch Olympium, when he collects as much as he needs for the plan. But this time Adrian was drunk and he spokes funny about this machines.
Matt asked about this items and probes and other stuff, but Adrian is only mumbling about secret plan, group with vision and becoming ruler of the world. Matthew seeing that his colleague is not fully available for the talk, chooses to inspect this chamber. Adrian was trying to staying up but he looses his balance and unfortunate he drops on machine controller garbing by two levers and turning entire process.

Doors shut and Matthew was locked in chamber, but machine starts making some strange noises and from tubes connected to chamber, Men saw glowing substance, moving where he was locked. After few second entire portion of Olympiym was inside chamber – it was about 1 gallon of it – and it covers Matthew body, making him so scared of it. He knew few things about Olympium because he is IT technician and also one of hiss hobby is about technology but never this much of this this substance was so close to him, even merging with him, making him a little bit of pain.
He never touched Olympium and never wanted. Over 4 liters of Olympium was interacting directly with his body. He tries to kick and punch doors to open it, but that doesn't happened. Of course he was screaming for help but Adrian had his own problems of loosing continuous. Mardax was attacking doors, searching for option to escape but punching cause only small wounds on his knuckles, and Olympium thanks to that has pure contact with men blood directly. Finally closed human takes his cloths off by ripping them apart, getting as much of plasmatic substance as he can off him. But still he had to hopeless scream for Adrian help but he doesn't understand what's going. Finally after few minutes he started to gaining connection to world, and Mardax still scream in Pain for help. He starts to shout about Olympium and that was Key work. Adrian in one moment understands what happen, his skin starts to be pure white from as scared he gets. Immediately he jumps to machine trying to turning it off, and by pressing few codes to terminal on machine control he opened doors to the chamber.

Matt dropped heavily to ground, having on him only ripped pants, T-shirt and small rest of Olympium, which Adrian takes it from him.

This time Matt loose cautious. He was heavy tired, he had some burns on body. Adrian takes him to bed and he call to Job that's two of them won't be in job soon because of accident. Matthew has slept over 3 days and while sleeping. He has some aggression attacks, screams and high heat of his body was nearly all the time. After three days he starts to woke up. Soon realizes that he is in Adrian house and still he feels strange. Few minutes later Adrian comes, and seeing Matt being awoke he asked him how he feels.

Matthew in anger asked back why he didn't take him to hospital, what was that in basement and what is this all about. Adrian sits down and responds saying that he can't take him to hospital because this will end his and his group plans.
Then he starts to telling Matt truth and what was planing down there.

Not so long after Matt know all about, he was shocked of how Adrian and his group was stupid, and he was angry, also body was making him pain while moving, but he can't go to hospital. After that he probably end up being experiment subject and he never wanted that. Death in agony was better than being closed up and treated like animal for science.
He wanted to go to home, but Adrian never wanted to allow for that. His group probably wanted to do the same what Matt was thought about coming to hospital.
Matthew ran to doors – unexpectedly fast – and Adrian went after trying to drag him inside the house, mutated human only pushed him, what was really strong, and Adrian fleet few meters from him. Mardax not understanding what happened quickly opened doors and run from Adrian house as fast as he can – he was faster than professional runners. In house he closed windows, doors, nearly barricade himself . After eating what was inside fridge human fall asleep and he slept nearly one week.

Days later he gets up feeling surprisingly good, that was strange, he feels better than before. In mirror his body shape was better, more muscular but not too much, awful burns disappeared and entire body feels like some kind of spirit is floating in his whole body like strange fluid air.
He thought about do some test to the body, and after garbing heavy couch to pick it up, it was like before anything else, but then he tried to pump muscles and then nearly throws entire couch by windows damaging wall.
Then he moved easily cabin blocking doors without using too much energy, not like before. Before going out, changed cloths and went to nearby park. After minutes of looking some spot far from most people, he tries to run and nearly he crashed on nearby wall, because of speed.

"Mardax" That was name he takes as alias.
He never expected that but he starts smiling to himself with small but victorious smile about his dream becoming true...

From that days his life changed, he realizes that he has control on his inner energy, thanks to that he can boost entire body or focus more energy in one spot giving more power to one punch attack or kick.
After time he Learned that power can be used outside his body, to helps him floating, and after a lot of practice even flying. Also he starts to shooting his energy a out of body as energy ball or beam.
Even after he learned new tricks promising to himself that he never gonna stops doing trainings of his mental and physical state also on martial arts, and he will to his own end improving himself, to protect others.
Because now his life has mission to protect others against criminals and evil.
… That's how he become powerful fighter, warrior in the light and just HERO.

Personalities:
Matthew still is a normal human with cons and pros - he is talented but lazy, stubborn, excitable, effortless, egoistic, proud, hotheaded, sometimes aggressive and he have head in the clouds. But he has also pros like, loyalty, truthful, helpful, hardworking, clever, cunning, good hearted. He is good listener and cooperate when situation needs it.
Matt is also self-aware, and thanks to that, he tried to get rid of this cons fighting with them in his head and tries to change cons for pros, because he want to be more matching for hero ideology.
Furthermore - cons and pros in some actions mix themselves, and in fight sometimes aggression, excitable and stubbornness is more useful than other things. And that's his best advantage.

His costume is created form really tough and stretchy materials. One time he helped few scientist, attacked by criminals who wanted to stole Olympium, and they were thankful enough, that they made a costume for him using materials from the their lab - he apparently don't exactly know from what this costume is created but it's works fine.
Red bandana has technology to change hair color to much darker type, thanks to that he can easier protect his identity.

Dark top is very thermoactive and adjacent type of T-shirt - It helps keep body lower temperature while using powers but still it's not too much.

Ability 1

Main ability is inner energy control as universal power letting him powers up strength and speed, also his energy can be used to protect against some damage making hits less damaging and helps heal his wounds faster than normal humane.

Ability 2
Using his power outside of body, as a blast, beam wave, allowing to fly and also creating from energy weapons (for short time - 30 sec ) or as a barrier around him to protect him and others with some limitations.

Ability 3
By using energy he can interact with what surrounds him.
Energy is warm, and he can use more energy in for example beam to overheat or even melt weaker things.
Also by blasting his punches in the ground he can use his power to shake nearby ground.

Weakness

Thanks to training his energy can grows without limit but is limited to his body. How much energy Matt have is based of how much his body can hold and safely use.
It's like stamina, using too much energy requirement things like, beam waves, barrier or creating energy weapons, can drain him quickly from stamina, or using too much energy at once or in very short period of time can starts overheating him.

He need to always have body and mind in shape. Trainings are important part of his Hero life. Mind training allows him to have more energy, like water, and body as pot need to be trained for be prepared to hold this amount of energy.

Even if he can use his stamina/energy to protect himself from attacks, falls from a height ect., that never protects him for 100%, and still he feels pain but smaller. let's say that if somebody shoot to him, he don't gonna die but that will give him a lot of pain.

Barrier ability power usage depends of what attack or energy barrier is blocking. Depends of how many of energy Mardax have - some attacks can be absorb by barrier - even powerful - but still it can drain him easily.

Using energy to overheat or even melt something can overheat himself too.

If he allows to use more energy knowing that he can hold more, he can damage himself.

Being in very challenging fight he can get in to it so much that he can get fearless and careless also forgetting about things around him - it can be sometimes very bad, but also sometimes especially mixed with adrenaline he can be really dangerous and even brutal.

Other notes
I used my old friend artwork of my character from Mardax in DBZ universe, and redesigned it a little bit. That's why on second picture I can't get rid of all costume.

As you can see my hero originally was born for DBZ Universe, and I changed origin a little bit powers to make Mardax - basically me - match as I can to SH universe, don't making to big changes to Mardax as a Warrior/Fighter type of hero with similar fighting style to animes like DBZ, One punch Man or My Hero Academia and Asian Martial Arts.

Ps: At beginning he don't have too much of energy but still he have enough to fight with 100% power for 5-7 minutes all that time, even thanks to adrenaline 150% - I never ( even as DBZ character), wanted Mardax to be OP from the start, but making him too weak isn't the best option too :D
