I’m Now a Host on the Sia Network - Decentralized Cloud Storage
Starting today, I’m now a host on the Sia Network, which is a decentralized cloud storage platform. Hosting on the Sia Network isn’t exactly profitable for now, but it has the potential to be in the future. There are many benefits to Sia including redundancy of data and secure encryption. Users can access their data through an API.
There are many “decentralized” platforms out there that are in fact not entirely decentralized because they keep all of their data on a local server. To truly be decentralized, something like Sia should be utilized in order to prevent points of failure.
I’m offering up around 11TB on the Sia Network for now, so we will see in the upcoming months if anyone will take up my services.
