Steem(it) in Nigeria update log and general announcement

We are one voice, we are Nigeria, we are the blockchain movement, we are…STEEMIT IN NIGERIA 2!
We started from nowhere, now we are everywhere. We are the bridge between the common man and the blockchain. Last year alone, the efforts of the first edition of the steemit in Nigeria movement paved way for so many other activities which ushered in thousands of Nigerians into the steem blockchain.

We need more than just steem holders, we need stronger communities to outgun the rivals and we need investors.
I once said sometime back that there is a difference between an investor and an investment and the blockchain needs both. We want to show the blockchain that right now in Africa, we are the greatest investment/asset the steem blockchain has and one day we aim to become their best in the world.

Statistically speaking, we have not scratched the surface of what Nigeria has to offer and we will not only scratch it, we will bore a hole so deep, everyone won’t feel comfortable if they are not holding steem. It takes the steem blockchain about three seconds to process a transaction and the best part is that those transactions are free. Imagine being able to send money to anyone in the world in three seconds, there would be no need for atrocious charges from banks.

2018 is tagged the year of steem in our calendar (not that we see any rival being strong enough to dethrone stem) of awesomeness.
This year alone, we are expecting so many innovations on the blockchain, starting from the launching of the smart media tokens which is expected by the third quarter of this year to hivemind and so many others. Imagine capping the year with the first, greatest and largest blockchain event geared at creating millions of steem holders.

Welcome to SIN2

When people ask me why I chose to use the acronym in most of my posts, I simply reply by saying that it is because I am determined to make a positive meaning out of an otherwise negative preconceived word. For those who are unaware, SIN1 was held last year in Osun State, Nigeria in November.

This year, we are upping the stakes, changing the game and setting a new standard. Governments all over the world are trying hard to fight both blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. We are not waiting for the Nigerian government to bring the fight to us, we are taking the fight to them. We won’t wait for the false campaign promises of job creation, we will show them the better way.

As of this writing, SIN2 is slated to hold in Abuja, which is situated in the Federal Capital Territory, which happens to be the seat of the presidency and guess what, we will ensure that those in power realize that the blockchain technology has come to stay. If they refuse to listen, we will make them listen.

We live in a world whereby when new innovations which offset the rich-poor cycle or an innovation which is not fully understood is brought up, they frustrate the efforts of such an innovation. Think am lying, check your history books. The thing is: with time and persistence, they will eventually come around.

Steem will not only be the first, it will be the most popular cryptocurrency in Nigeria very soon. The world will witness the power of the blockchain through the steem blockchain and the steem(it) in Nigeria initiative will be at the fore front of it all. So many projects started and when the incentives left, they also vanished into thin air. Guess what? We were there, we are there and we will always be there.

The theme of this year’s programme is building bigger and better communities on the blockchain. We intend to create a chain of willing and prominent communities in Nigeria and create the perfect working relationship where it is not about first or second position, it is more about building Nigeria into a unit so big, we find unity even in our diversity.

In this link I gave a list of updates and now, we will also give further updates on progress made.
@steemexchanger and SIN were able to form a strategic sponsorship deal, with @steemexchanger agreeing to sponsor the vests of the community representatives working with us and also those pf the SIN crew.
As for community updates, we have gotten two extra communities on board namely @air-clinic and @airhawk-project totaling it to twenty one Nigerian sub communities namely:

The vests for the event are ready and can be viewed here. Today, we will be talking about the ID card designs which are ready. The ID cards will have several colors to indicate the role a member performs during the event ranging from extras, participant up o SIN crew member tags.

I Pray for the success of SIN2 meet-up in Abuja

Awesome!! This event is going to be a game changer indeed. Keep it up.

Thanks for the update @ehiboss.

Obviously, there is a lot of battle against cryptocurrency and blockchain technology as a whole. Steemit will play a major role in ensuring that people embrace the future early enough...

Anticipating S.I.N2

@ehiboss... I can see this project as a means of developing the blockchain system and helping Nigerians on Steemit. This is a very lovely idea and I believe everyone will be successful with this idea.

Steem is already growing viral gradually in Nigeria as people are been introduced to it. Everyone now wants to make money via blockchain without wasting their data on irrelevant things.

I wish everyone could have this kind of mindset by supporting and helping others by making them successful which you and @samest from @airhawk-exchange are doing. This is a very great initiative and I will be hoping to be at the event. I would also love to ask if similar project can be situated in other states like Ogun State, Lagos, Ibadan, etc for better publication? Should people's from Ogun State be hoping for this kind of initiative?

Thanks for sharing this vital and valuable post @ehiboss with love from @hardaeborla

Steem is not just a crypto... It is s life. I believe that soon multi national companies will also start accepting steem as a medium of exchange. Thanks @ehiboss for the update

I just can't wait for SIN 2

I am super anxious right now
