Hello Steemians all around the world. Trust you are all doing great. It's a new week - the last three to four days is an eventful and memorable one to steemians in every part of the world, most especially steemians in Nigeria. The annual Steemit in Nigeria Conference and Festival shut down the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as steemians flocked in from all the geopolitical zones in Nigeria to assemble under a roof to meet, discuss, learn and improve their knowledge about the Blockchain. The Steem Blockchain was the focal point of the event.

The theme for SIN ² is BUILDING BIGGER AND STRONGER COMMUNITIES AND CREATING INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES ON THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN. The event started with arrival of participants on the 30th of October. It was one of the most beautiful moments ever to meet one on one steemians that add value to the Blockchain, that you only know by their usernames and pictures. It was amazing when you see steemians exchanging pleasantries on arriving at the venue for the event. Most people are meeting and seeing each other for the first time but due to the relationship that has been established on the Steem Blockchain, getting along with each other was easy.

To kick start the activities of SIN ², on the 31st of October, a Pre Coference tagged 'ALL ABOUT THE BLOCKCHAIN' was held at NPF Mess and Suits Plot 55 Samuel Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, by Treasury House, Garki II, Abuja. The official host of the event is @mediahousent.

We have three speakers who vehemently massacred the questions that were posed to them. This is not surprising because they have vast knowledge about the Blockchain in general and the steem Blockchain in particular. The speakers are @fisteganos @xpency and Chris Ani. One of the notable contribution they made is how the blockchain could exist without cryptocurrency. In other words, blockchain technology can be used to change the world by introducing it to electioneering process, the health sector to control abortion, for instance, as well as the power sector, to curb the act of not paying electricity bills. The Finance sectors isn't left out too as blockchain technology can be used to restrain, control and prevent tax evasion. It is important to mention the presence of a foreign observer, the CEO of @wafrica in person of @surfyogi. His presence lit up the event as we were glad that he graced the occasion with his presence.

The first day of the event was wrapped up with a social event tagged 'SUYA NIGHT'. Suya is a kind of meat spiced with pepper. It is made from skewered beef, ram, chicken as well as kidney and liver.

The Suya was provided free for all steemians present at the event. I think the organisers should be commended for this.

On the 1st of November, the event of the day started with Games. Participants were locking horns to know who's the best in Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) on the PlayStation console. Later in the evening on the same day, there was a trip to Genesis cinema, Ceddi Plaza, central area, Abuja for MOVIE NIGHT. The title of the movie was 'Venom'.

The Karaoke night was also a night to remember as it was fun filled. There was a contest and prizes were awarded to the best singers. The first prize of 20 steem goes to @jesse12, the 2nd position was a tie between Funke and Angel who won 10 steem each and @xpency, 3rd with 10 steem too. The event was held at Sofa lounge, Abuja.

The main event recorded a massive success as the previous ones too. The microphone god @mediahousent was present to anchor the event. His eloquence and charisma spiced up the conference to the taste of all steemians present. @surfyogi started the event with an opening speech, he talked about the contribution of the steem blockchain to the society - financial breakthrough and adding value to the society. @fisteganos and @xpency also had some contribution to make too. @Prettyjules15 also spoke about how she got noticed on the steem blockchain as a result of the value she adds to the society such as giving to the less privilege around her (charity). She posits that steemit is not only a money making tool but also an avenue to add value to the society.

The Vote of Thanks was taken by @ehiboss, while @surfyogi led the ritual that was initiated by @mediahousent. According to @mediahousent, he ends every show he attends with a kind of call and response session. So, to end the SIN ² conference @surfyogi made a call of "Great Nigerian Steemian" and everyone replied by saying "Steem, Gbosa, $100".

The SIN ² ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND FESTIVAL came to a halt with the final activity which was a DINNER/GALA NIGHT. I can boldly say it was the best way to end the 4-day event. Ladies and gentlemen were dressed gorgeously in a well decorated hall with different shades of lighting - including my favourite, Blue. There were musical performances from steemians and non steemians. @eddie 's performance was a soul lifting and mind blowing one. @oredebby, also melted the hearts of everyone present with her little tingling sexy tiny voice as she takes over the mic.

This is basically a review of the events as they unfolded. If perchance you missed the event for any reason, this should be informative enough to have an idea of how the event looks like. A big shoutout to the SIN ² crew for a job well-done.

Special appreciation goes to the sponsors for their support for the success of the event @lukestokes, @ausbitbank, @surfyogi @demotruk.

It was nice to be in the company of @morahn @mosunomotunde @official-hord @matthewthonyit @itoroarchibong and everyone present.

Thank you for reading and see you in SIN ³.
