The Steemit in Nigeria 3 conference has been a hive of activity and a wealthy source of information for both blockchain experts and newbies in Nigeria. The speakers have shared a lot of knowledge about the current state of cryptocurrency and the need for the masses to key into the blockchain for a better future. I could barely capture half of the information disseminated by each speaker but here are a few highlights for your reading pleasure;

Ukaoma Stanley - COO of Dexage (Decentralized Exchange)

  • Everyone needs to earn passive income. If you can't make money while you sleep, you would probably keep working for the rest of your life with little to show for your effort.
  • There is a "Golden rule" and it says he that holds the gold has the power and rules the day.
  • Blockchain is the solution to currency devaluation.
  • Blockchain is a threat to fiat and government because it is gaining waves with a bottom-top approach. The masses are earning and this is changing the game plan for young people thereby reducing the effect of lack of employment and jobs.
  • Blockchain helps you work smart via smart contracts as opposed to working hard to no avail.
  • There is a difference between currency and money. Money as a store of value maintains its purchasing power over time but the currency is the opposite because it is subject to inflation causing it to lose its value. Note that all currencies are money but not all monies are currencies. Anything that can store value makes more money.
  • The Dexage sys is self-sustaining and on Dexage.com, you get paid 5% Eth weekly. You don't pay transaction fees on the exchange and you get a little back every time you trade on the exchange.
  • The Dexage financial buffer helps you become more stable financially. On Dexage.net, whatever you have and keep in the system generates more value for you. Your Dexage is traded for you and you get a rebate back just by holding the tokens.

Golomo Stanley - Co-founder and CEO of Farmchain

  • Check out their websites at www.myfarmchain.com and farmchainville.io
  • Famchain is an agricultural technology platform based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. They utilize the crowdfunding method to power their farms e.g. their livestock farm in Rivers State.
  • There are several untapped sectors in Agric in Africa.
  • Farmchainville makes safe and organic food available using the blockchain technology. It's is the first tokenized decentralized exchange in the Agric sector.
  • Farmville has trained and certified over 500 farmers in collaboration with CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria).
  • Farmers can sell their produce on www.myfarmville.com
  • You can sponsor Moringa trees by investing 1000 naira for 1 tree via the crowdfunding moringa project at
    www.moringa.myfarmchain.com

Chris Ani - CEO of Cryptohub

  • Cryptocurrency brings economic freedom. Value can be transferred from one party to another without any interference from the government or any third party.
  • The most powerful president declared that bitcoin was bad and bitcoin began to rise! This is because hard currencies lose value based on censorship and political resistance but bitcoin doesn't! People are beginning to realize that crypto is a safe haven from those who seek to achieve world economy monopoly.
  • When you use the blockchain and crypto, you put your financial fate in mathematics and no longer in the government systems which are so prone to human error and mismanagement.
  • Every crypto entrepreneur should build their brand based on what the market needs and not what they think.
  • Think outside the box and find solutions to real problems that people would willingly pay you for thereby bringing you economic freedom.
  • Do your research and learn so you don't invest in fake network marketing and Ponzi schemes all hiding under the guise of cryptocurrency. Investing in real crypto wisely takes time, knowledge and effort!
  • Increase your knowledge in the industry, understand what the market is saying. The real central bank of crypto are the stable coins.

Cheers and thanks for reading!
