A kid and a flower [ballon]
Hi. I took this shot from the Gaumont Film Company first scene. It is animated, but my drawing is static. I really like the stars, purple and blue shades of the sky (space). Black contrast silhouette. All this is here.
Process
Here you can see how I create stars. First, I strongly press on a white pencil. See the little holes? And then easily over sketched with a color pencil. The pits remain white.
Then I try to display lighting with an eraser.
Then I use a black liner to draw a silhouette [but it would be better to use a marker with a thick kernel].
And the final countdown...
What do you feel watching this picture? Is that enough for dreaming?

The composition is nice, I like how you keep the majority of the canvas on the starry sky and how you keep the figure small in scale by comparison :) This picture would have been stronger if the colours of the sky is deeper, because in that way, the white of the stars would have been better accentuated :) But, it is a nice drawing! I like it !
