Sunset After the Rain
I came to the countryside yesterday and it was raining heavily all through the day. After the rain stopped, we got the most gorgeous sunset. Why is that the sunsets are so much more vibrant after a stormy day, than after a sunny one? There is probably a real scientific reason to this, I just don't know it.
You know I'm very much into skyporn, and it's always better in the countryside! In my city apartment, I can hardly see the sky, so no sunrise, or sunset photos from there. I could always go outside during the sunset but that requires more effort in the city. Here in the countryside I only have to go outside to the yard and I already have a lot of beauty around me. In the city I have to put on clothes that don't make me look like a homeless person, remember to take my keys, avoid humans I might know and walk a while to get away from all the concrete.
If I'm not completely mistaken, I might be able to catch the sunset from my new apartment. Or in the wintertime, when the days are super short, I think I can see both sunrise and sunset from my balcony. I can't wait to catch them timelapses from there!

Isn't the color something to do with moisture? Ok, so that was basically what you said. I'm no scientist. I've observed that too though, in the summer here we get dramatic sunsets from the afternoon thunderstorms. In the winter the sunsets are always golden because we don't get much rain. Maybe similar concept as seeing a rainbow.

I have an addiction that I always have to take at least one picture when I see a pretty sunset, even if I never use the picture. Though most of the time it ends up here 😅
