Intro

Welcome to the Blockchain, where magic happens in the form of technology (dapps). You must have heard or seen different Bitcoin Forks (cousins); Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold BSV etc. The top coin has been forked many time and some other notable Cryptos too like Ethereum (Ethereum Classic and the likes), Steem also has been cloned on a few occasions, now permit me to introduce you to Bearshares another clone out of the Steem Blockchain and not in any way related to Steem or SBD tokens.

Bearshares is a peer to peer (P2P) content sharing platform or dapp, a slowly evolving Blockchain with similar features and protocol to Steemit, a Blockchain blogging platform which serves are a model to other platdorms currently running.

Presently not listed on State of the Dapp, maybe in few months time it would. It has a different token known as Bears and Bear Dollars (similar to Steem and SBD). From the roadmaps, it is easy-to-use just like steemit. It also rewards its users, that is; content creators.

Steem is evolving and as it does, it created a lot of flaws just like Bitcoin (the reason why it has been forked a couple of times), I'm of the opinion that Bearshares was created to correct some of the emerging flaws of the Steem Blockchain and would never be a competition to steem as speculated.

In popularity, Bearshares is still growing and with a relatively small user-base and active daily users from my findings, there is no referral rewards (tokens) for users that invite their friends and families to join the platform. A fact is that, several inactive users on the steem Blockchain are active on this relative new dapp, many had migrated to it when it launched and with this rate, user base would skyrocket in the coming months.

The Blockchain Technology comes with vast opportunities and options, the decentralized characteristics make it possible for unimaginable things to happen. Ten years ago, nobody knew Bitcoin would be the ultimate cryptocurrency today, just like no one could predict where steem/SteembaackDollars and or Bearshares Tokens could end up in terms of price in few months or years’ time, just maybe we are looking at the most scalable and efficient cryptocurrencies before our eyes.

Getting Started

Bearshares has one of the simplest signup process, aside from the signup time lapse, everything else is similar to Steem. To get your account go to Bearshears.com and click on the signup button, this take you to where your email would be required. It takes hours to get your login keys in your provided email address, sometimes twenty-four hours max.

This project looks promising and it hasn't been running for long as I really cannot ascertain the exact launch date. But for now, one thing is certain, its free of spamming and vote buying (Bid Bots) which seems like something of general concerned on the steem Blockchain.

With the number of active users decreasing on steemit by day and by week, even though I still want to give it the benefits of doubts that the Crypto-DIP is the major culprit behind this decline in population of active users, people seems to be generally losing faith in Cryptocurrencies.

Turn on and off

Steem/Steemit seems to have its own peculiar problem, losing users because only large investors runs the show on the platform which makes it a little bit not ready for mainstream adoption, because if Large Investors (Whales and Dolphins) only make decisions, that is a form of censorship which makes it not a decentralised entity and might be long in terms of years to attain mainstream adoption.

It is the best time to invest in Bearshares based on the fact that it's still young and the earliest adopters enjoy in the long run, that's one of the beauty of cryptocurrencies.

Bearshares needs large investors to invest in the ptoject, it is not a bad idea for these big investors join the platfom and make other investors come to invest in the project. This is the time for average users to grab the opportunity considering the prices of Bears and Bear Dollars still extremely cheap. Fact is, the numbers of users with smaller investment will always be larger in proportion to the numbers of users with larger stakes hence small investments count.

Presently, Bearshares tokens (Bears and Bear Dollars) are tradable with Steem, SBD, Weku and Bitshares, there is a trading list for Bears on Bitshares DEX. By the time, Bearshares tokens will be trading on major exchanges, according to their forecast as I read in my research, it might be too late to invest, although it is never too late to invest in any Altcoin.
