Song Challenge Day 42 - A Song From A Computer Game

This song goes back to the 1700's, and is a Russian folk song. Listen to it in its more original form before we get into the video game part.

Then in 1989 it was adapted for use in what would become a huge mega-hit video game called Tetris. Here is what it sounded like in the game.

Since then the song has cemented its place in the nerd culture hall of fame, and spawned countless covers in all kinds of genres, ranging from symphonic metal, to dubstep, to house, to ragtime, to rock, to jazz, and many others. But my favorite version is this acapella one. Enjoy.
