So guys...can we cut the fuckin shit please?!? I spend a few hours creating a fun post detailing tidbits from my own personal life and designed to get people here talking. Engagement...isn’t that what’s important here?!? Attracting new users?!?
Well instead of that I get bombarded with over 30 spam comments within a couple minutes over a childish squabble that has literally Jack Fuckin Shit to do with me.
I’m working my ass off to drive people here. People that are active bloggers in my industry. What do they see when they get here though?!? This horseshit...
Please do me a favor and leave me out of your childish games guys. You should quit doing this nonsense all together as all it does is make us all look like a bunch of fuckin amateurs and clowns when someone new does check us out.

I am now pretty sure that's not the case, and your post was hit due to you making a reference to a certain tasty popped kernel snack, which summoned a bot. The bot is being targeted, apparently.

Totally agreed. On another note, this situation actually made me like Steemit more! Some folks want the uncensorable Wild West of blockchain, but I don’t mind choosing my front end use based on their stewardship & philosophy. Steemit was first to block that Dark Overlord asshat, and they’ve also made these spammers invisible (except for the comment count). I hope other sites follow suit and take measures to hide this spam. They could always leave a setting to “opt in” to seeing spam... but who the hell would ever toggle that switch!?!

Yeah I just think it’s completely unnecessary and when I first heard my alerts going ape shit, I felt excited thinking that maybe I connected on something with people. Nope. Why would people actually care about content. This place is to air out personal grievances now it seems. Just childish nonsense making us all look inept and undesirable to anyone.
It’s fucking mind boggling that certain egos are getting in the way of helping this place grow. I truly am just enraged at the moment...

Yeah, certain frontevds block em out. Just a very irritating situation. Especially when I bring in someone new, and that’s not only one of the first things they see here but a constant throughout the chain.
