Greetings dear readers. In this installment, after a few gratifying days I was visiting my family, I captured several plants that caught my attention, such as the vaporub plant for example.

This plant owes its name to Vick Vaporub, due to its nature of mentholated aroma, odor-like odor which is used to decongest the airways. It belongs to succulents called lamiaceae. It is like a kind of grass because it does not grow much and is ornamental. I love the position of the leaves on each twig.

Applications

It is used as a poultice for headache. The leaves are heated and placed on the forehead fastened with a cloth.

In tea as an expectorant. Boil some leaves of the plant or place some leaves in hot water as an infusion.

Putting its leaves in hot water as a nasal decongestant. Cover your head with a large towel to inhale the steam.

It is rubbed on the skin as a repellent.

Saludos estimados lectores. En esta entrega, después de unos gratificantes días que estuve visitando a mi familia capturé varias plantas que llamaron mi atención, como la planta de vaporub por ejemplo.

Esta planta debe su nombre al Vick Vaporub, por su naturaleza de aroma mentolado, de olor parecido al ungüento lo cual se usa para descongestionar las vías respiratorias. Pertenece a las suculentas llamadas lamiaceae. Es como una especie de hierba porque no crece mucho y es ornamental. Me encanta la posición de las hojitas en cada ramita.

Usos

Es usada como cataplasma para el dolor de cabeza. Se calientan las hojas y se colocan en la frente sujetadas con una tela.

En té como expectorante. Hervir unas hojitas de la planta o colocar unas hojitas en agua caliente como infusión.

Poniendo sus hojas en agua caliente como descongestionante nasal. Se tapa la cabeza con una toalla grande para inhalar el vapor.

Se frota en la piel como repelente.
