Con una actuación formidable Antoine Griezmann quien marcó un gol de penal, pero tuvo intervenciones en potros dos tantos, uno Pogba y otro con un tiro libre que Mario Mandzukic convirtía en propia puerta, hacen del Principito la principal figura el partido final que titula como monarca del balompié mundial al equipo francés.
El cuarto gol del equipo francés lo realizó el ganador del Balón de Plata Kylian Mbappe tras un formidabñle derechazo que dejó sin chance al meta croata.
