Continuando con la serie Inglés para estudiantes, hoy analizaremos el uso de las PREPOSICIONES (IN – ON – AT), comencemos.

PREPOSICIONES

IN – ON – AT


Estas preposiciones generan mucha confusión, cuando no manejamos algunas reglas, aprendamos a diferenciar

IN

(Cuando hablamos de Tiempo largo y no específico)


“IN” se usa para períodos más largos y menos específicos
I go to walk in the morning
My birthday is in December
I was born in 1961


(Cuando hablamos de lugares más grandes y partes de la casa)
“IN” se usa para lugares más grandes y partes de la casa
I live in Venezuela
I am in the kitchen


(Cuando nos referimos a lecturas que están o podrían estar escritas en papel)
I read it in the newspaper
The instruction was in the email

ON

(Cuando hablamos de Tiempo días y fechas específicas)
“ON” se usa cuando usamos días y fechas específicas
I come here on Mondays
I was born on december 21st


(Objeto encima de otro)
The notebook is on the table


(Para informaciones en medios electrónicos)
I watch it on Youtube
Otro ejemplo
She is on the phone

AT

(Cuando hablamos de horarios y momentos específicos)
I will see you at 8 o´clock


(Cuando hablamos de lugares específicos)
We are meeting at the restaurant
The baseball game is at the stadium
