Caminando con gaviotas / Walking with seagulls.

Tras el baño salvaje, emprendemos la marcha. Ahora hay un continuo sube y baja que lo que busca es llevarnos a la playa encantadora de Portiño.

Pasamos por una casa donde hay unos graciosos espantapájaros.

También nos paramos a saludar a un caballo simpático que quiere compañía.

Me encanta la playa de Portiño porque es pequeña y acogedora. Agradezco a aquellos que diseñaron el camino e hicieron que fuera traído por aquí. Realmente, a pesar de las vueltas, lo merece.

Hay un par de niños disfrutando bañándose en la orilla. Tienen mucha guasa entrando y saliendo del agua mientras rien. Pasamos tras ellos, junto al muro y siento envidia.

Hemos de seguir. Todavía nos queda mucho hasta llegar a la maravillosa playa de Samil que está a las afueras de Vigo.

Pasamos por nuevas maravillosas playas y por un cruceiro que está junto al mar.

La playa de Samil es algo extraordinario. Aquí, han invertido muchos recursos económicos para la construcción de un paseo marítimo magnífico.

Si yo viviera aquí, me vendría toda las tardes. No me cabe duda. Otro lujo del lugar.

Sin embargo, no vemos mucha gente. Tal vez, se han retraído porque amenazó lluvia por la mañana.

Por detrás del paseo, hay una serie de piscinas infantiles. Hemos contado hasta seis, aunque no nos extrañaría que hubiera más.

Sin embargo, todas estas construcciones han estropeado la formación y renovación de las dunas. Hay un movimiento ecologista que reivindican que se reelabore todo este frente de la playa. Veremos si lo hacen.

En las piscinas, en lugar de niños, se bañan las gaviotas. Aquí se lavan y hacen sus abluciones. Nos paramos a verlas como se lavan porque es un auténtico espectáculo.

Aunque en algunas piscinas vi algunas plumas flotando. Seguramente este “spa para gaviotas” no sería el objetivo final de las autoridades que lo diseñaron. A veces sale el “tiro por la culata”.

Hay un buen número de gaviotas posadas en la playa. Otras nos sobrevuelan recorriendo el paseo marítimo. Estos pájaros, a sus anchas, a veces escarban en las papeleras y esparcen todo el contenido.

Al terminar la playa, hay un pequeño pinar que debemos atravesar. Aquí se está fresco y, de buena gana, paramos para hacer un descanso. Ya llevamos mucho.

Nos acercamos a Vigo. Las entradas a las ciudades siempre se hacen largas, pero en este caso se nos hace interminable.

Pasamos por debajo de un gran puente y mas tarde por los astilleros de Vigo donde, en este momento, están haciendo un gran crucero.

Para terminar, ya en Vigo, encontramos la iglesia de San Miguel de Bouza donde hay una llamativa escultura de Jesucristo llamando a unos pescadores para que le sigan como apóstoles.

Por fin terminamos la etapa estamos exhaustos. Este será el punto final del Camino de Santiago que hemos recorrido este año. Hemos andado 160 km en 8 días caminando. No está mal.

La verdad es que estamos contentos y satisfechos. Quizás el año que viene, o antes, lo retomemos aquí y hagamos la segunda parte para llegar a Santiago de Compostela y abrazar al santo. Todos convenimos en que estaría bien.

Pero no estemos tristes porque mañana nos espera, como colofón, una sorpresa genial.

Walking with seagulls

After the wild bath, we start the march. Now there is a continuous rise and fall that what you are looking for is to take us to the lovely beach of Portiño.

We pass by a house where there are some funny scarecrows.

We also stopped to greet a nice horse who wants company.

I love Portiño beach because it is small and cozy.
I thank those who designed the road and had it brought here. Really, despite the laps, he deserves it.

There are a couple of children enjoying bathing on the shore. They have a lot of fun coming in and out of the water while laughing. We pass behind them, next to the wall and I feel envious.

We have to continue. We still have a lot left until we reach the wonderful Samil beach on the outskirts of Vigo.

We pass through new wonderful beaches and a crossing that is next to the sea.

Samil beach is something extraordinary. Here, they have invested many economic resources for the construction of a magnificent promenade.

If I lived here, it would come to me every afternoon. I do not have doubt. Another luxury of the place.

However, we don't see many people. Perhaps, they have withdrawn because it threatened rain in the morning.

Behind the promenade, there are a number of children's pools. We have counted to six, although we would not be surprised if there were more.

However, all these constructions have spoiled the formation and renovation of the dunes. There is an environmental movement claiming that all this beach front is reworked. We'll see if they do.

In the pools, instead of children, the seagulls bathe. Here they wash and do their ablutions. We stop to see them as they wash because it is a real show.

Although in some pools I saw some feathers floating. Surely this "spa for seagulls" would not be the ultimate goal of the authorities that designed it. Sometimes the "shot by the butt" comes out.

There are a good number of seagulls perched on the beach. Others fly over us along the promenade. These birds, at ease, sometimes dig in the wastebaskets and spread all the content.

At the end of the beach, there is a small pine forest that we must cross. Here it is fresh and, willingly, we stop to take a break. We already carry a lot.

We approach Vigo. The entrances to the cities always become long, but in this case it becomes endless.

We pass under a large bridge and later through the Vigo shipyards where, at this time, they are making a great cruise.

Finally, in Vigo, we find the church of San Miguel de Bouza where there is a striking sculpture of Jesus Christ calling some fishermen to follow him as apostles.

Finally we finish the stage we are exhausted. This will be the end point of the Camino de Santiago that we have traveled this year. We have walked 160 km in 8 days walking. Not bad.

The truth is that we are happy and satisfied. Perhaps next year, or before, we will return here and do the second part to reach Santiago de Compostela and embrace the saint. We all agreed that it would be fine.

But let's not be sad because tomorrow awaits us, as a climax, a great surprise.

For the photography I use my iPhone X. For edition I use the Snapseed application and for the digital signature the Watermark app.

Everything I did on my mobile phone, I did not use the computer at all.

For the drawings, I use the Sketches program and paint them on the tablet.
