The most beautiful beach in the world

Every great work must have a great ending.

As a climax to the Camino de Santiago Portuguese on the Coast that we have done, since we have not reached the cathedral of Santiago, we decided to finish it big and, since we were in Vigo, nothing better than going to visit the Cíes Islands.

3AFA05E9-D87A-4904-8E8A-7F680591B70D.png

The Cies Islands are small islands that remain almost wild because they are a protected natural area. You can only get there with permission from the Galician government because access is restricted.

There are several shipping companies that take you and pick you up in small boats. They had to restrict access because there were too many people and they were beginning to deteriorate.

We embark early in Vigo. We sat on the upper deck. The weather was good. Nice temperature and there was no air. So you couldn't be better.

Near the islands, we saw a fishing boat that threw their nets. Also, during the trip, which lasts an hour, we meet some dolphins that jumped at our side.

The seagulls of the Cies Islands breed there in their natural environment and do so among the bushes and, above all, on the cliffs.

760238BA-25FC-45CE-9968-A75A9C568DC5.jpeg

We saw many of them hidden. They should not be disturbed and even less, approach their young. It is forbidden to give them food. You can get used to this easy diet and forget to find your diet on your own.

The day we visited the Cíes, I found that the colony of seagulls as a whole protects their young in solidarity.

It occurred to my son to climb a stone. He did not know that there were young on top. When he approached the top, many seagulls began to squawk and make flush flights where he was. They defended themselves in a group. Perhaps, if he gets to crown the stone, they would have attacked him.

There are also no bins, so you have to take the trash back.

Ideally, go early and get ahead of the "hordes." Thus the experience is better. I was fascinated by the green color of the water when we started to disembark.

We leave the port of Vigo in the morning in a small boat and arrive at the beach of Rhodes which is considered the most beautiful beach in the world, according to the Guardian newspaper. Of course, in the morning the water has a very special green.

The Cies Islands archipelago is a National Park and therefore a protected site. Only open to the public in summer. There are many birds that reproduce here. Fundamentally, there is a large colony of seagulls.

1C8FAAA6-EB45-471C-8D08-39D2CA0BEC5B.png

As we were among the first to arrive, we found the beach of Rhodes with no one. Arriving in the morning, when there are still not many people, it seems that you are in paradise.

08D52CB5-4283-4CA0-AA93-D92AF968EFFF.png

Then, we went into the forest until we reached a signal. There are a number of more interesting points to visit, for this there are established routes. It is forbidden to get out of these paths. It is almost essential to visit the lighthouse.

First we go to know a very special stone called Pedra de Campa and that is next to the bird observatory.

7A3923C5-494A-42C7-901A-54437F99F92B.png

We go directly to a stop where there is a very special stone that has as a window. There we took several photographs and then we went to an area where there are beautiful views over the cliffs. Here the seagulls nest.

EAFB765E-E332-42B5-A826-351627CFC06A.png

From an observatory where we hid them, we watched many seagulls fluttering on the cliffs. One settled very close and was there a good while until he got tired and dropped from above.

In addition to the long beach of Rhodes there are some others. All of them paradise and white and very fine sand. Too bad the water is so cold.

It was not very pleasant to walk along the shore because the sand was very soft and it sank a lot. I ended up, frankly, exhausted after a walk along the shore. I tried to travel all the beach of Rhodes and reach the end, but halfway I had to give up.

There are many other points of interest in these wild islands, but today I have lengthened a lot. That is why I will show you another day in more detail.

For the photography I use my iPhone X. For edition I use the Snapseed application and for the digital signature the Watermark app.

Everything I did on my mobile phone, I did not use the computer at all.

For the drawings, I use the Sketches program and paint them on the tablet.
