We know exactly what we are doing

Within the experience of Separation Souls naturally find themselves immersed in the quagmire of discerning internal Truth from external Truth, the wryness of which lies within the fact that the more we assume external Truth the more our Ego-mind is “marketing” it as our own internal Truth. The more firmly established belief systems among broader proportions of people are the higher the likelihood of “latching onto” something which didn’t originally stem from within, thus making for the necessity of incrementally undoing external Truth assumed internally until each Soul finally returns back home to the epiphany of “the only Truth lies within onself”.

On our way from shifting focus from the outside to the inside we gradually remember our power to choose, to a degree that we eventually realise that even the decision to not choose is a choice. Thus, at some point on our Soul journey we made the conscious choice to hand over our power to choose.

WHY?

My explanation:

After having lived myriads of lifetimes, our understanding of “What is Love?” has gradually become so befogged that we wholeheartedly developed an indomitable longing after re-experiencing the quintessential meaning of Love. In order to get the most out of it we fully deliberately agreed upon making this experience as real as possible.

HOW?

As All is Love, there was a necessity for an illusory antagonist…Fear!

The mere fact that we all embarked on such a quixotic adventure of experiencing Separation is the most compelling evidence of our humongous amount of Trust we had in Love. We knew that our choice wouldn't have lasting consequences.

We are not lacking the knack as to how life works at all. We are simply a conglomerate of Souls having harboured the most bizarre”idea” yet, the “realness” of which will finally guarantee us the longevity of our next experience: the return to Oneness which we never left in the first place.

Sort:

Well said. Don't let fear overpower your love. Love not necessarily being defined as happy good feelings, but the embrace of reality that drives you to do what's right even if that's not what's pleasant. Growing is pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone, choosing bravery over fear, out of love. There's always another step to take, and if you sit on the steps you will eventually get stepped on. You must grab life by the balls before it grabs you by yours, live it fully, embrace it, because one day it will be over and you will either get to look back on a life of fear, hiding, decay, and wasted potential, or a wild adventure.

Anyway, I noticed you call fear the opposite of love, and I understand that. Fear can keep us from doing things that love pushes us to do. However, would you say hate is also the opposite of love? Hate is much more destructive than fear. Hate is feeling compelled to cause harm rather than prevent it. Maybe fear is the opposite of love within the heart, and hate is the opposite in a more external way? Sort of a yin yang thing? I have no answers currently. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for your dedicated comment. I particularly like your last sentence in the first paragraph, where you are saying "or a wild adventure", because ultimately we should learn to embrace the adventure as a good thing, something we most deeply want instead of seeing it as something that is happening against us. This is also why I prefer a state of inner equanimity and balance instead of overly losing myself in the feeling of experiences. because as soon as we prioritise certain areas, feelings or experiences in our life we will experience any deviations from that more intensely and tend to get more stuck in them while at the same time anything that is not aligned with our desired and prefered experience and feeling might appear more lacklustre. In a sense, once we leave our prioritised bubble, anything outside of it feels boring and dull, and usually we then live off the energy reserves accumulated in the bubble instead of being able to enjoy the very unique energy and beauty of the current moment. For some people who prefer getting lost in the experience I might appear as a spoilsport and boring but in truth I am probably able to enjoy just as much as them, if not more, I am simply choosing to not surpass the threshold where the clinging sets in.

To your second paragraph, I agree with you. Actually, I say that even the choice to fear or hate is a sign of the limitless freedom of choice (=Love) we have. Sounds like a know-it-all, I know, because putting this stance into practise is by far not as easy as it looks in theory, but at least it provides the best personal basic guideline to maneuver through life in the most inner peaceful way. :)

Very well said. Reminds me of the water analogy:

Energy reserves, that really hit home. I've had this idea that I can only be happy if I am consistently creative and productive. This causes life to be depressing and dull and makes everything feel like an obstacle in the way of the one thing I want to do - and because of this negativity, when I actually have time, I don't have much creativity. I'm working on it. I'm slowly learning to enjoy things like working and taking care of responsibilities every week, keeping a level of my mind that, as you said, is always peaceful and equanimous, able to appreciate every moment and live off of that energy, not only living off the high I get from having created something, which fades quickly and leaves me frustrated that I don't have the time or creativity to refill that energy bubble.

I also try to remind myself to be a cactus. The water analogy is great, but no one talks about cacti! They thrive in the desert with very little water. We can too (metaphorically).

"Cacti are among a group of plants that solve this problem by capturing solar energy by day, and finishing the photosynthesis by night when the stomata can be open with minimal water loss." https://www.quora.com/How-do-cacti-photosynthesize

Do what you need to do, work your ass off every day, make money (capturing the energy), then at night, you can finish the process by relaxing, meditating, releasing the stresses and mental echoes of the day, getting a good night of sleep, or as much sleep as you have time for. Reset and prepare for tomorrow, don't carry each day's baggage into the next day, weighing yourself down into hell with each passing day. Take care of body and mind to keep up with the demands of life when life is a desert, providing you with very little "water" and you have to slave away to earn it.

Great that you were able to grasp my words exactly the way I intended to convey them, and the cacti analogy is very good as well.

This state of balance is what actually allows us to feel home and relaxed in every single moment instead of just while being in our prefered bubble. :)
