Beyond Healing, Beyond Personal Development

I went to grab my Donny Epstein book, Healing Myths, Healing Magic. I still can't find it.

There's something beyond healing. There's something beyond Personal Development and changing and morphing and healing the ego.

We're asked to step up to a higher level. And once you've gone to that level, you can't go back.

The energy's too strong for the old, tired, worn out story.

It's not about healing anymore. It's not about trying to make better the old story.

There's a time when the old story has to die so that our spirit can rise like a phoenix out of the ashes.

The old story always has the same tones of disempowerment and scarcity and all these fear elements that were fed to us.

When will you decide that enough is enough and that the story inevitably leads to a dead end?

We can grow within the story. But ultimately the story is small. Our spirits can't contain themselves in them.

Our spirits are too big for any story. And we have to throw off the shackles and be who we are.

The story isn't who we are. The story is death and trauma and tragedy.

We are infinite. Too infinite for a story.

This, oddly, reminded me of the novel Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko. It is rather different than what you talk about here but the idea of life as stories and how that can be a hinderance is a theme in that book.

We can change our story, or we can open up to something bigger!
